Are you sure your friend's I-129F is being held at Vermont Service Center? The NVC sends approved I-129F to the consulates, not the service centers. No doubt there is a backlog at Manila, probably upwards of six months between petition approval and K-3 interview. But this is the first I've heard of petitions being held at the service center because the consulates have a backlog.

Married in June 2004? That's 1 year 8 months and no interview yet. They should have been assigned a Manila case number already. If they have a Manila case number, they can try calling the Dept. of State (DOS) at (202) 663-1225 ext. 100 to ask if they have an interview scheduled. If not, then their case is in a limbo and it's time to call the state senator or congressman.

The date of the marriage doesn't tell us anything.

What date did they file the application?

Did they receive an NOA1?

Did they receive and NOA2?

Did they get a notice from NVC with a case number?

What is the date of the NOA1?

What is the date of the NOA2?

What is the MNLXXXXXXX case number (you can look at interview schedules online showing the interview dates for these numbers)

... and the backlog in Manila is about 6 months from the time the application is received by the consulate in Manila.

My wife, Sherry, and I got approved last sept/nov? and the NVC said now they have to wait for the embassy to request cases and when ours comes up, in order, they will send it.

Im wondering, we found out last month that Sherry is pregnant, we dont want her flying when she is too far along. If I contact my senator, congressman (which one? state or federal?) can they give us priority? Is there any other way to speed it up and get priority? Thanks THANKS! for any responses. RonK

I would just call DOS, mine arrived at Manila Sept. 27 2005. and my interview would have been by the end of this month. Sounds like he is getting bad info.

As far as i know, NVC just sends them to Manila. I'm not sure the Embassy can tell the NVC not to send them. Just MO tho. Seems odd to me because plenty have been sent before and after you. I'd try a diff Operator. FYI wait time was 5 months from the time Manila received the case until interview date, For some reason K-3's seems to be a little longer.

You can see others times here Manila Interview Dates

You won't be given priority for pregnancy and neither your senator nor your congressman can make it happen on those grounds.
