Wow congratulations

Are you going to try for a work stamp at point of entry? And what about getting the new one before it runs out? Just interested as I was thinking bout what I will do. Don't wanna be twiddling my thumbs all those months.

I am definitely going to ask about EAD at POE. What do I have to lose? I am hoping to be married ASAP after entry (him, me, and a judge), mostly so EAD and AOS can be sent off right away. It will be very stressful if only one of us is working, but we are saving as much as possible right now so that we are able to make it through a couple of months on just one income. (It will drive me insane, though.)

thats cool I'm sorta concerned about what i'm gunna do with my self when i get there too. it would be nice to be able to contribute to the household as soon as possible as things are gunna be tight for a little bit plus staying at home all day sounds a bit blah. but hey it will be what it will be. i think for the first week or two depending on how soon after i we get married i can take my time up with wedding stuff, that still needs finishing.

I wouldnt mind getting the ead at point of entry but I'm not sure if you can get it at lax and i dont want to divert to jfk then have to fly in to lax.

the last touch we had when I last looked was the 4th which was the day our noa1s arrived (dated 1st may) I think from other posts CDC don't make too many touches before they approve/whatever. So there's a good chance that after a long period of nothing. We could get on touch and thats it!

Man I feel so c$#*# I 'm sneaking on here at work and I think I'm coming down with something wish I was at home in bed! :(

cheers mate. I'm bk home now but i was feeling right @#*# earlyer. might be a bug but it comes and goes.

looking at other people charel, I think that once we hit 120 days to 134 days we can look to see some action on our apps. as thats what people on average are seeming to get. between 4 and 4.5 months. they are still finishing off jan lot now but they are making good progress again and have started on the feb lot

so I estimating last half august/begining half of september will be our four weeks! yey.

Our petition was delivered at CSC Monday morning and since then I've been obsessively checking e-mail for NOA1. I read on some post on VJ that someone didn't get NOA1 (hard copy or via e-mail), but found out on the website. What website is this? And how can you find any information about your pending case online without application receipt number?

I am definitely anxious, and I know it's silly because this is going to take time. Maybe a lot of time. Sometimes it just feels like I'm still walking through a very long, very dark tunnel, with no end in sight. Depressing much?

So just wondering if anyone knows anything about tracking your case even before NOA1.

It is a long long wait but it will be over eventually and itll all be worth it.

You cant track your application antill you recieve your NOA1 because itll have your case number. From there you log into US citizenship and immigration services and register with case status service online. After that you can log in anytime you want to look at yur pending application. granted though that, for the most part, it will say case recieved and pending, but no news is good news i guess

Good Luck

You can track your case as soon as you have your WAC / EAC number which is stamped on the back of your check once it's electronically cashed. If you can see a copy of a cashed check from your online bank account then you can register with the USCIS webiste here. Be advised that you will only receive an email update for notifications such as RFE's and/or Approvals. To see if you've been 'touched' you click on your WAC number once you're logged in and it will open a new page that states a last udpated date. If that date changes... you've been touched. ;)

Good luck!

Vito lives in Los Angeles and what took a day to send them (nrext day delivery) we got 4 days later. they prob sent it it out to your future hubba almost straight away. just keep in mind a reasonable amount of time for normal post to get from california to your guy where ever he is. you are prob due to recieve it very soon. or begin of next week. so dont worry. as for email. I dont think you get those till you sign up to the website, after noa1 (thats if its working) we didnt get an email, just the hard copy posted in his mail box.

I don't know why I'm so anxious. Some moments I don't think about it at all and others...I just want to be able to hold him again. Long-distance relationships suck. :)

I concurr. well the long distance bit sucks. This past week and half has really got to me, I'm missing him terribly. I spent the last month throwing myself into coming up with ideas for the wedding to show Vito to take my mind off it. Now its made me aware of f the lack of funds I'm worried that Viot will have to cough up most of it. darn those sneeky banks and their student enticing overdrafts. Been spending the week trying to work out how to raise some extra cash and then theres the wedding date dilema!

Anyone else being nagged for an exact date by familly and friends? I'm toying with the idea of us chosing a date. I know its risky but both my mum and sister can only attend during term holidays and the longest ones will either be this xmas or feb or april next year. would it be benificial to to give the embassy a time frame, in this case do you think?

ugg i miss my man :crying:

We've tentatively chosen a date, but everyone knows its subject to change. We based it on everything going seamlessly. Plus what we're planning here in the states is pretty casual and basic, so if it needs to be changed there's not a lot of cause for concern. We're doing a more formal wedding in England in 2010, so the one over here is mainly just to make everything legal.

We figure 5 months for approval from CSC - that's around End of October. A month to get to Embassy - November. Two month til interview - January. So she'll be flying out January or February at the latest. We picked March 28th as it coincides with our proposal (the whole one year and a day thing). So hopefully that pans out, if not well we can always change it to what will work.
