Hi Melannie,

Maybe b/c you are in Australia? From my research I have found out us British can't get it done until the embassy call us to do so. Good if you can though, wish I could!

I have everything ready to go....police cert ect.... just waiting

Those folk at CSC must be on their annual hols right now.

I'd guess that you NOA2 should be very very soon! Hang in there!

With ref to times....it depends on what country your in? I know London are one of the quickest. It roughly takes a month to get the approved petition sent over to your country. Then packet 3 gets sent. Depending on how long you take to complete this and send it back, this will save you some time if like you say, your "ready". Then a few weeks wait to hear about your interview....then that could be in the following few weeks. Then a week or so to get your passport back, with your K1 Visa in it!

So...your about right with your times. That is the scale I'm working too. Hope that helps.

Ps. I just want to be there in time for Xmas, I'll cry if not!

Are you sure?? I know of two couple on here in the past 6 or so months who made appointments with the Medical office before they were called. I searched but couldn't find their details. I'll keep looking and PM you if I find them they may be able to give more info.

I'm in the UK now and b/c we didn't expect it to take so long. I may have to go through it all again. My Medical is due to run out in Decemeber :(

I'm just going from the evidence I have found...

Specific instructions will be included in the information sent to the foreign fiancé(e) from that US Embassy.

I would have had mine done by now if there was a way around it. I do believe you need a number, which is sent to you. Also, I don't think the embassy doctors will see you until you have your paperwork from the embassy.

If you find anything different, please let me know.

You'll be done by December! Is the medical you have done by a certified USA embassy Doc?

:)

Hmm, California has been in some major budget issues in the last 2 months, and threats about cutting worker pay have been looming.

Anyone know if USCIS adjudicators are on the state payroll, or on federal?

Btw, this no approvals thing is pissing me off. There's no holidays this month, and not a single one until the beginning of next month. This is why I wonder if the budget issue may be reason behind the slow down.

dont panick septemebr is the begining of their new fiscal year according to an attorney that we spoke to so they will have a lot of money compared to now and will prob hire more staff, he told us this when we asked how long it will take and he explained that when they have less money they shift staff around to other areas, and it will take longer and then when they begin their new year and have more money again they get more staff put into their areas. it could be a reason for the last two weeks now you think about it it has been rather slow but then you have a week of just 13 then a week of 31 then bk to just 14 if you look on the stats on igors

 unless gordons promises of impending nudity fro the other thread has got them all on sick leave for stress, thats it i blame gordon :P:jest:

I'm fairly certain USCIS is federal, funded by the filing fees we pay.

I had heard that too, that Sept is the new fiscal year. So, HAPPY NEW YEAR CSC!!!!!! Now, get the new year started right and clear the backlogs....please

I'm sure things are progressing...as I've said before, Igor's isn't as accurate as people like to think...there are a lot of variables involved, and human error is one of those. Even if CSC has slowed down, I'm sure things will progress quickly soon enough. I'm sure we'll get some processing going again!

I've been focusing on the embassy stuff now, gathering information and the like so that we're prepared and can have as little downtime as possible after this hurdle! Plus it helps with not driving myself insane! hehe

I'm being extremely lazy, but does anyone have a quick link for all the in's and out's for what to do after the NOA2 is received? Forms to fill out, papers to gather, etc.
