yeah, at least you noticed it now and not later!

i just realised that the interview is friday 13th, i'm not superstitious though so i don't believe you're going to encounter any problems. ;)

i was worried about everything before the interview (i'm a total worry wart haha) but it was the easiest thing ever, hopefully it will be the same for you too.

oks all you folks who already jumped over I needs your advice

Did you just close all your bank accounts before you went or kept them open? I will only have about £600 to take with me and i think

I may just change up and carry in my pocket  as its about what I took last time i was on holiday  I am just unsure that if i am allowed to keep the bank accounts open or not? and if i do would it be hard to close them when i am in america and not able to go in and have a face to face meeting? and i have an isa. i would assume i am not entitled to it if i am not a tax payer anymore? or resident?

Also i there anything i need top know about bringing my stuff through customs? I will have my wedding gift unopened and my wedding ring opened in my hand luggage and i think the gift is jewellery. do i have to declare stuff and pay for it? even though it is already paid for vat wise over here?

Sarah is leaving her account open for many reasons, but we did the conversion math, and it's better (at least for us) for her to put the money in her account and just withdraw it at an ATM over here...it saves as there's no commission and she gets bank rate. Plus we figure when we go back on holiday it'd be easier to have an account there to use instead...

PLUS! What we're doing for the baby, and wedding stuff is asking instead of gifts to ask people to deposit money into her account...apparently they did this for a few of her friends' hen do's and it worked out well!

I'd say if they won't charge you for keeping an account with a small balance, leave it open as it can't hurt anything...but then again if they're going to charge you a service fee each month, i'd say close it.

The chocolates should be fine, but you might want to check on the wine...you may not be able to bring it over without paying Duty on it...
