What is a civil ceremony and please do not say anything to my fiancee about needing a seperate dress for anything?

Cause we can't give exact dates to get my family to Michigan within 90 days, they are spread all over the world. And as far as I am concerned it is too cold a time a year to make people come to Michigan for a wedding, we have decided to have a courthouse (civil ceremony) as soon as I enter the country, then we will have the works later on this year.

I never thought I would be a 2 dress girl, but these will both be special days, so I end up being lucky. But cost wise I won't spend more than $500 total, if it makes it any better.

Oh ok. Well that is interesting. I made a slight suggestion for a quick little courthouse thing and got ignored. Good to know that I am not the only sensible person here.

Honestly if it wasn't for my family and the fact I am 'a girl' :blush: and I wanted the white dress we may have only done the courthouse thing.

John posted the comment about the boots. He can look at the civil dress, he can look at either of them but he said he didn't want to look at the 'big day' one. He's sweet like that.

yey :dance: :dance: mine came on friday too. dont the pictures look a bit crimial? so grey, but the paper pattern is funky and spangly

man i am trying to find silk charmeuse of the 100% silk not stretchy kind for a decent price but i dont like buying off the net its so impersonal and i want to see the stuff before i pay :angry:

also trying not feel so overwhelmingly angry with myself, why cant i say no? :bonk:

dont know if it will help but there's an amazing shop in edgware road - joelles.. all they sell is material and it's HUGE!

its a bit thicker

might just be 100% silk satin instead

though charmeuse is a satin
