Hey guys! Sorry for being so quiet, but I am back from England for the holidays! It was wonderful to see Sarah again and spend Christmas and New Years with the family. Sarah's interview is jan 13th as well at 8am. We got everything sorted, and, also got the packing stuff sorted - as far as who we're shipping through and a rough idea of cost. It was a lovely time, and I miss England very much. But we're counting the days now until she gets here!

And Hannah I was over in your neck of the woods - Kent, while I was there! We went up to Leeds Castle for a day and saw the surrounding area. It was quite nice!

Hope you all had a great holiday, and best of luck to everyone! We're almost over the hurdles!

Who are you using for shipping? This sticky beak would like to know.

They do free pickup within the M25...I don't remember complete costs, but I think we figured around £500 for Sarah's things...keep in mind we're doing excess baggage, as she's not bringing any furniture or anything major with her. Just books, cd's, clothes, etc.

But they're really nice, and it's door to door, and takes 6-10 weeks for delivery!

they must schedule the interviews an hour appart, mines at 9:30 are you sticking to the not more more than 30 mins before line up rule? or should it be sooner, i know it says not to on p4, but how long does the que take. once i have my bags stored at the hotel oposite i will toddle over i think around the 9 am mark if the half hour thing is acurate.

Hannah, let me talk to Sarah and maybe you two could exchange numbers and what not...do you have a picture of you, that she could see, that way if you bump into each other it might do good for assurance or to give any advice!

Don't panic! I posted elsewhere too...but, copies of 1040s are fine, so therefore, he could email a scan to you and you could print it. There's really no such thing as "THE" original 1040 since when you file electronically (which many people do) you don't send it in to the IRS anyway.

Howdy all. It has been ages since I posted over here. I am usually in the regional area posting. My fiancee had her interview last month and they gave her the blue asking for the timeline and a list of relatives. I sent the timeline and her family here sent the list of family. She went back to the consulate on the 5th of this month to turn it over to them and they gave her the pink with a date of the 12th to pick up the visa. She is so excited that she is uncontrollable right now and still on the run and calling everyone and just going all out. She plans on coming after the end of the month and I have a feeling the wedding will be all planned out and all by the time she gets here. Her Aunts are already taking control of that stuff on this side because it seems that guys does not know anything about wedding stuff. I am taking it that they plan on me being there though.

I am a happy camper and it is hard to believe that they actually said yes to me. Maybe they were saying yes to her but regardless they said yes. My best friends are already planning the batchelor party and strangely no strippers are involved yet. 20 years ago that would have been the first thing planned. Strange how as we get older our priorities change. It seems that my own party is being taken over by aliens that look like my friends. So far it is a 4 day weekend and lots of golf at a major golf resort. I do know them so booze will be involved and huge quantities of it along with lots of food. I did ask how we can get strippers to show up at a golf resort and they looked at me like I was nuts so I guess I am out of the loop on those plans.

So in 2 days time I have gone from a old lonely single guy to a soon to be married clueless old guy who is incapable of having any control over anything.

Hey guys!! sorry its been so long in writing on this thread but its awesome to see how far every1 has come along since i last looked on here! Ive been here since end of october and i get married -finally- on sat!!!!

Some of my friends and family have got here in th states today and we're stayin in a hotel and then picking up the rest from the airport tomorrow.

Bit of good news..... planning a wedding is spose to be one of the most stressful things to do but it is NOTHING compared to the visa process. Silver lining, it really does put things into perspective for you when u actually get round to planning a wedding its like a walk in the park! So much so im thinking am i missing something big out? got the venue at the country club, cake sorted, marriage lisence done, church, order of service, dresses, vicar, rehersal dinner booked, dj, photographer flowers...anythng else :star: remeber its only as hard as u make it and after u finally get the visa all u wanna do is get mariried so little things seem irrelavent.

Good luck on the rest of your journeys..talk soon!!!!
