ok so apparently it should take 8 weeks to get p4 from london and then another 3 weeks to interview. has anyone else been quoted this? the idea of not having my interview till end of feb is a bummer. Vito didn't like the idea either.

i think that is just a standard reply, i remember i saw someone saying that they got told that too. i hope you hear something soon! did you put a date for entry to the states on the checklist?

I dont think it's part of AP. I think they scheduled it because they need more evidence (and cause I sent them a frantic email asking if he could bring back the pics that he forgot to bring)

no i put the wedding date down, but i wasn't sure of the exact day i would be flying and didnt have a ticket buy that point, but i wasnt expecting to have to wait that long, without one, not nessersarily a short wait but not a life time.

hey! This is NOT true...one thing i learned about the whole process is they tell you the longest time span to cover their asses! My advice to anyone is, if you can help it, DONT call with a query on how long things will take coz theyll tell you a long time and itll upset you! They told me it could take 6-8weeks for my package to be sent to London- it took 3 days! They told me it could take another 4 weeks for package 3 to be sent out- it took around 2 weeks They told me it could take 9 weeks for me to get an interview- it took about a week after tjhem recievong package 4 to be scheduled an interview!

So just a small update!

I bought Sarah's ticket over here set for February 11, 2009! Had to get one with a return as it was the cheaper option, so hopefully that doesn't affect us too much...just going to cancel that one, or see about putting the credit towards another flight in the future!

Hey that's wonderful news, that's the thing with immigrations, once things get rolling it happens very fast. I hope your interview goes as quickly as Cinara's did...all that rushing to get to Rio for nothing we slept for day's after it was all over. Anyway I hope you'll both have a Merry Christmas "Natal" and best wishes.

Don't you want to avoid mentioning the K1 visa when you come here at the POE? I'm not familiar with the VWP though since it's not available for our country, but I thought I read that here. Maybe others have insight.

Hi everybody, I havn't been on this thread for a while but heres some bad news:

My fiance just had her interview yesterday and she got the 221(g) form. A box on the form was checked stating that additional evidence is required. Apparently they want proof of our future plans regarding marriage in the United States. They listed several things such as a receipt of a wedding hall, a list of invited guests (address and phone numbers), receipts of wedding clothes, receipt of wedding food, and a receipt of court marriage appointment. They told her to submit these documents to the VFS ASAP and thats about it.

They barely spent any time on the evidence of past relationship (photos, phone records, plane tickets etc.). They were primarily asking questions about the future. The officer also asked why the pictures mostly only had my fiance and I in them, and not both of our families even though there was a picture of us with my mother and her aunt.

I am concerned about whats going to happen, has anyone here gone through a similar experience? Does this mean our case was denied?

By the way I'm 24 and shes 25, we have never been married and we don't have any children.

My fiance also mentioned that there were 3 or 4 other girls there who had interviews on the same day (one had her fiance waiting in the lobby who came all the way from LA) and they all got denials with similar information requested.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
