I usually just read this thread & not write on it coz it gets me down! May Filers that are on their way to interviews n stuff! We're still waiting for our NAO2!!! May 16th was our NAO1 date....waiting,waiting......

I'm in the 6 month+ plus waiting thread now

Don't worry guys. I still with you, waiting ....

You can come here and moan - it's what was going on here a while ago! Just make sure your spending your time waiting getting everything ready for packet 3, then you won't have to panic and start faffing around when it does eventually come.

:star:

Melannie and I both have our medicals tomorrow!!!!!!

GOOD LUCK GIRLS! Come and tell us how it went OK?

i know i'm not a csc filer but this thread seems to be a lot more active than the other may filers one so i thought i'd poke my head in and say hi. :D

that's some good advice, take a look at what you are going to need for packet three and make sure you have all the tax information you need, your birth certificate and all the other stuff it requires. trying to keep busy is all you can do to alleviate the stress of waiting!

marmite lovers: i am amazed at how positive you are being, despite all the confusion with your case. keep it up!

ahhhhhhhhhhh needles and blood.

only joking the dotoe was very good with my wussyness and made sure i couldnt faint. she was very authorative but not nastyu or cold and she could talk well to you, must be because hes also an a & e doctor. didnt seems too long except for some woman cutting infornt of melannie  the x ray was really quick and then the doc asked a few questions peeked and proded and did blood test. after that she dertemined what vaccinations i was missing which is currently mmr and hpv because my tdap and polio is up in dec. but i opted to differ to anthor time so i didnt have to pay so much money plus i didnt fancy another email and i know that mmr made me feel sick last time. (i need it cos my records are mising the mumps bit) but thats the benifits of a k1 visa being able to leave the vaccinations till usa.

unfortunatly I have also had a bit of a disaster, well i loved at my passport last night and its had heat damage and i need to replace it. to make things worse hotline ays i wont get my old one back to keep and they will destroy it, though the website states different. and my police certificates arrived today and i assume new passoprt new number meaning i may need new police certificates.

question for you may people. I was just approved yesterday (yay!) and I was wondering how you know when your case has left for the NVC? Does it show up as an update on the USCIS log in or do you need to get it from the NVC somehow (information on the hard copy of NOA 2 perhaps?)

the usc needs to call the nvc and check when they receive it and then when it leaves for the embassy.

stinks sucks and much much more, even more so that they may have to destroy my old one because its damaged and i think it looks like its been tampered with, normally they give the old one back to you with the corner cut of for your records but if its bad they destroy it instead.

if they wont give mine back do you think i will have problems?

also cos my police certificates have my passport number on, as they used it to verify who i was, does that mean i need to get new ones? does anyone know?

i don't want to make you mad but they must have changed their rules because i had to replace my passport in 2003 due to mine getting saturated in beer (not my fault! lol) and the laminate was coming away from the back page (this was when the info was stuck to the back page). i was informed that my passport looked like it had been tampered with and must be replaced and when i got the replacement they sent it back to me.

i'm so sorry this is happening to you, especially now! you must be going crazy. good luck on getting it sorted out!

actually you have just made my day because if you got yours back then its possible mine might be in the catagory of acceptable wear and tear and i'll get it bk. the last time i phoned it went from damaged = destroy, to if its very badly damaged we must destroy it, but if its classed as acceptable wear and tear from everyday use they will give it bk, but she couldnt clarrify which mine was because she couldnt see it over the phone. other than that i need to write a letter. and hope it works.

i meesed up my sig by a mm over the boarder so i have to get a new form tomorrow, and i havent booked a fast track appointment yet, and its gunna be a pig to get to cos my dads working in the morn so i cant get a morning lift to the train, otherwise its posting it back to them and hoping it dont take more than two weeks. still unsure if i need to get a new police certificate.

does anyone know how long the embassy is taking to allocate an interview at the mo?
