My conclusion is that perhaps the embassy has received the bunch that ours was in, and perhaps hasn't checked them all in...we'll see what DOS says...or unless Sarah gets her packet 3 :lol:

yeh we have waited so long to set a date, because we wanted our noa2 first so we didnt over run, and loose the wedding. asnd we have had a lot of earache from family in uk wanting details already which we couldnt give. now it feeels so real and exciting. :dance: :dance:

Got my Packet 3 yesterday. The amount of paperwork involved is unbelievable. Good lord. (My letter asks that EVERYTHING is mailed in, except for originals of certificates and passports and evidence of ongoing relationship.)

* Married on March 18, 2009.

* Papers mailed on May 8, 2009, arrived at Chicago lockbox on May 10, 2009

* Check cashed on May 14, 2009.

* NOAs for AOS, EAD, and AP issued on May 14, 2009 and received on May 18, 2009.

* Biometrics letter received on May 20, 2009.

* Biometrics appointment on June 4, 2009 at 8 am.

* EAD and AOS touched on June 5, 2009.

* EAD card production ordered and AP approved on June 17, 2009.

* EAD card received on June 25, 2009.

* AP received on June 26, 2009.

* Celebrating five years as a couple with much-delayed reception on June 27, 2009. What a journey it has been.

After you send in packet 3, how do you know when you interview is? And how does it take until you should ask?

Carmen, you mention calling DOS, where do I find that number?

We sent our p3 in Monday.

Hey! sorry for late reply. I cant remeber off the top of my head so i wouldnt want to tell u in case i got it wrong... it says it all in the packet that you get and its all explained pretty simply. Just remeber not to sign the forms that u send back as you have to do it in front of an officer at ur interview :thumbs:

hey guys..sorry i havent checked in lately. Been busy settling back in, unpacking ect. I only took 2 suitcases as most planes only allow you to take 2, and when my family come in jan for the wedding they will bring another suitcase. Lucky that i didnt have a house, car ect to sell and sort out haha.

Got a phone for the usa now and opening up a bank account. Everythings starting to come together for the wedding. Went to try on my wedding dress that i ordered from a bridal store back in march and it was beautiful. got veil, shoes, headpiece and jewlery too. Just gotta get few more things. Spoke to florists and we're ordering bouquets ect in novemeber when we go back for thanksgiving. Gotta order cake..confirm menu at our venu for the reception....arghh so many things. :whistle: but we're getting there.

So nice to be back tho :dance: Going to a halloween party tonight and meeting up with all my freinds again :star: Just gotta find something to wear.............. :devil:

they should also inform you directly i would presume by letter. :unsure: might take a couple of weeks depends on the time constraints you are under and how quiick they are at the mo

My fiance and I got our RFE on the 7th of October. After reading through some of the posts relating to RFE's, my nerves are settled. I was worried that it was something bad, I didn't realize it was part of the normal process. It seems like things pick up after people send in the RFE. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers that our petition will be approved before our wedding in April. :clock:

ahhh cool, Pasadena Vito took me there in april its not that much further from where we will be living in driving terms. bloody hot that day though. i thought i would pass out. but enjoyed watching the blokes walking past a sports car outside a cafe and almost trip up cos they wernt looking where they were going.

that and irony of mills street given one of your reported summer resedents lol. :thumbs:

once yuo get your rfe to them they dont seem to take much longer to finish it at the moment it seems which is good. welcome to the group. :thumbs:

Okay, so i sent off our REF stuff on the 23rd of October. I really hope they don't have any problems, and that we can move forward.

Yeah, I love Pasadena. I grew up here. It really does get hot here, but on the dry heat days, the mountains are AMAZING.
