my brother got his interview on his interview

hi salam to allz,

i have a question for u allz.who r on the A/P or A/R,? my brother got his interview mid of april and they CO told him u have to wait 6 weeks so he is waiting he is over 21 and unmarrigd,v got the same thing when v got our interview in november but after interview i think after 27 days i called the dos they told me ur A/p is done but i dont know y my brother is still is in a/p its over 27 days now i talked On dos they told me he is in security check .and dont know the time.any body tell me wht is security check i mean which type of security check..
