I think if there's a new subject to be discussed, a new thread is appropriate. But if it's just a series of jokes, one thread might be better suited so we don't have 10 threads-just one. That way, more of the topics will show on the first page of Off Topic.

It's all about the way you talk about it. I can see why he found it hostile, and why you don't see a problem

i find it more ironic that certain members on vj can post all day long various threads yet when i do i get pm's demanding i stop. i guess it has to do with who knows who around here.

I don't see how that scenario (posting all day long in various threads) matches this one in the least. 'Knowing' people also has ####### all to do with it.

Lots of people here like jokes, so my suggestion was merely to consolidate them to one place.

I apologize if my thread was offensive in some way, but I still stand behind the request.

I agree, this is shades of my SO and me from the frustration of typing instead of talking (things being taken out of context).

I also agree, I looked in here and just saw a load of posts by charlesand nessa, I thought the same as Tracy, Karo and others - consolidate please.

There are other Topics that get pushed off the front page due to lots of jokes.
