ha ha---don't pollute me!!! We need our gardening thread back for more wholesome entertainment. I've been meaning to ask you how that rose came along and if you like purple, MY house is *the* place to be---the whole front yard has bloomed all at once! Yay new plants!

i had no idea that posting jokes for entertainment would annoy some. my apologies for such.

SIGH. Sadly, you're still missing the point but I don't suppose it really matters anymore.

I think a little perspective is in order. I hate it if nessa left because of this. Trust me, I've had far worse done to me. Imagine someone taking a photo of you and nessa and altering it to make a joke out of you, all because you disagreed with something that was said on a thread? Not too grown up, eh?

That happened to my fiance and I at another board, which taught me a valuable lesson; message boards are not real life, they are for entertainment and (depending on the board) information. Nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately, many of the people on said boards will say they are your friends and drop you like a hot potato when the poo hits the fan, all so they can still post. Sad, really, but true. It is also a huge help to have a quasi thick skin to post on forums as well. Without an understanding of those things, you'll never survive any forum.

I hate this happened today. I pushed a pebble and it ended up at the bottom of this hill as a boulder.

Two of our three made it through okay, the third is still touch and go. As they were gifts, I don't remember which name is which color. Hopefully it'll rebound. The rest of everything is doing well...tomatoes, peas, strawberries, all sorts of organic herbs and of course the requisite catnip (placed high up to discourage eating before its time). Oh, and lavender! Already smelling incredible.

Our rhodies are blooming gorgeously and the one bush that we thought we'd lose we found a match for, so we're hoping it'll grow into the other and make it look okay again.

Now be nice to me or I'll send you another smilie.

FWIW, Tracy, I don't think you need to own this. I saw what and how you posted and I don't believe that you intended malice nor the escalation.

It's hard for new people here to understand the dynamic and when pointed out, not everyone gets that it's well-intentioned. The fact that we've all been there and the fact that most people here are stressed out by the process makes it fairly inevitable that misunderstandings occur.

I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and smell the flowers. (Apparently Meauxna's are the best. )
