I got accepted to an exclusive club

I was finally approved for membership. The wait list is long with much competition. Unfortunately, its a club I never wanted to join to begin with:

The over 200 days waiting for a NOA-2 Club welcomed me with open arms. It really sucks. They don't even serve punch and cookies at their meetings.

Anyway, I think my husband and I have come up with a plan. Since USCIS is dragging their collective arses on my petition, I have invited hubby to come and stay with me in the desert as long as his I-94 allows starting in July when kid moves down from Toronto. His work has been sketchy at best, so we are not even losing that much income. I can make enough to keep us afloat and as long as he doesn't overstay his visa, why not? At least I won't be so fricking bored and frustrated with this whole thing. The only real downside is besides pending U.S. immigration which will mean at least 1 trip back to Canada for the medical and the interview, he is also pending Canadian citizenship and that will require 2 trips back: the citzenship test and the oath.

Oh and I almost forgot:

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

Sounds like a good plan Delicia!

Yes, having to make 2 trips back for the Canadian citizenship thing is a tad annoying, it's why my Husband decided not to go ahead with his Canadian citizenship application. I didn't realize he didn't really need it anyway, to keep his PR.

Anyway, not long until he moves there then - 2 months :thumbs:

I called CSC today since they updated the dates on the website to November 2007. I was informed that my petition was assigned to an officer for adjudication. So, it is now off some shelf and moved into some other pile. I refuse to get excited about this since I think the USCIS employee on the phone was just humoring me.
