HOW TO PREVENT LUNG DISORDER

i noticed that some of the filipino beneficiaries gets positive x-ray results or sputum test from SLMC without having a clue of how and where they got the disease. lung problem happens when u get an exposure by inhalation or droplet transmission of the bacteria or a viruses. yes, we may not have the symptoms but that doesnt mean we are free from the disease.

let me post this thread to help us PREVENT DELAYS IN OUR K1 APPLICATION due to this medical problem.

1. never expose yourself to a crowded place, TB is a bacteria that spread through droplet (droplet means that the bacteria spreads through person to person with a distance maximum of 3 meters apart)

example: person 1 is infected with TB and is walking in the crowd. heres person 2 yawned and passed by person 1. person 1 sneezed right infront of person 2's face or say, their distance where 3 meters apart. the moment that the infected spit of person 1 enters the mouth of person 2, the TB infection may start.

this may result to non - symptoms/non-active TB - positive tubercullin test and negative x-ray

OR with symptoms/active TB - positive tubercullin test and positive x-ray

the non- symptom TB can lead to "with" symptoms TB. so be careful!

2. as much as possible always wear a face mask when you really need to be in a crowded place. (though this might be weird for you, but this will save you from "visa delays"

3. take MULTI VITAMINS not just vitamin c!

4. eat fresh fruits rich in vitamin c and proteins!

5. always cover your mouth and nose while in 'byaheng jeepney"

i may suggest for all of us who'll soon undergo a medical exam at SLMC, to go for an early medical check up. even right now!

takenote TB is treated for 6-9 mos with quite expensive drugs that has to be taken RELIGIOUSLY or it might get worse.

nobody wants to be delayed for 6-9mos just because you need to be treated for TB???

6. have a healthy lifestyle..smoking, though its not directly related to TB infection, it decreases "lung power" that may lead to low resistance to TB.

you may not know if ur infected or not but its better to be safe than sorry..

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!

well they say that bear brand sterilize helps clear the lungs and strengthen the immune system.... i did that 2 weeks before my medical... wala naman mawawala kung sususbukan

there is no relation to drinking any type of milk and having an all good medical result.

if you are infected theres no way that a special type of milk can cover up the disease during the x-ray. (the only changes that might occur can be your calcium level)

its reliable and better to prevent having one and be treated properly as soon as possible.

FYI : any drink doesnt and cannot clear up the lungs cus it goes straight to the stomach down to your intestines, if theres a chance that it enters your lungs, clearing up is not what will happen but a lung disorder called "pulmonary edema" (results from having fluids in the lungs)

Best to have CXR at least 6 months before your approximate medical.

6 mos is not ideal for visa applicants and it might be useful if you'll get a positive result then ul have time to treat yourself but if ul be negative the 1st time, within than 6month time period, you can still acquire a disorders that can leave traces in ur lungs IF YOU WILL BE CARELESS.

if your results are negative 6 mos ago,it doesnt mean that you are already safe til the present time.

youre right! were talking about the PI. which is a 3rd world country, where TB is famous.

whether ur in a close or open area, chances are high if you wont take care of yourself.

again, thats an airborne-droplet transmission. you'll never know when you've inhaled the bacteria.
