YES! AZUMI IS AWESOME! I watched it on CTN in Cambodia. Very nice action.

As far is action in terms of martial arts film, you'll many of them from Asia. Most do not make it here to the states which I'm disappointed in.

Yes that is really in my top lists. :) Wow! and the "Zatouchi", oh i watched already 3 times "So Close" , really really nice action.

you can watch "Naked weapon" its nice action movie too. there's "azumi II" and i maybe have it already in our mailbox.

how about Hostel II?

Platoon. Here's a link to some clips on YouTube. I won't embed them. There is way to much violence.

Trivia time. Who plays the Interpreter Werner (without looking on IMDB!)?

Wasn't that Johnny Depp?

Anyhoo, war movies I like....

A Midnight Clear - one of my favorites.

Downfall - really, really good german movie about Hitler

Band of Brothers - Always good if you have a week or so worth of time to kill.

Action...

Equilibrium

Battle Royale

Shoot Em Up - very silly over the top action.

The Transporter

Ong Bak

Born to Fight

He does rock. He's one of my favorite actors these days.

Oh! How could I forget House of Flying Daggers? I love that movie.

I didn't care for Equilibrium - mainly cause the story was a blatant mish-mash rip of Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World and 1984.

I do like Christian Bale - I thought he was great in American Psycho.

Many action movies are entertaining to watch, but don't follow good plots or logic, mostly senseless fighting and killing (which is why they are entertaining).

Good action movies that are worth buying include saving private ryan (already mentioned), gladiator and my favorite, Braveheart.
