Late Tax Rebates

The last two digits on my SSN are in the 00-09 group to receive paper checks by May 16 and I got the letter on Monday stating that I will be receiving my tax rebate by May 16 according to their schedule. Lets see what happens tomorrow?

The IRS was pretty clear, if you filed using TurboTax and elected to have the fees deducted from your return, you will recieve your check in the mail NOT by direct deposit.

My guess is the cause of most of the 'issues' here.

Right. But I used Turbotax and I did not choose to have the fees deducted from my rebate. I paid them separately. I paid Turbotax by credit card to get 30% off, then had the taxes I owed withdrawn from my checking account.

same here... I paid for Turbo Tax separately so I could get airmiles...

I think if you owe, you would get check instead of DD. I think I read it somewhere but I forgot where I read it.

we got ours right on time. it was direct deposited at the begining of the month.

Ours was had delivered yesterday and is now being processed safely and gently into our savings for a nice long hibernation...

We haven't gotten ours either. I was expecting a DD on the 16th but then it didn't come so I thought there was a problem because I changed my name after filing taxes this year until I saw this on their website:

If filing or preparation fees were deducted from your 2007 refund or if you obtained a refund anticipation loan or other bank product related to your regular tax refund, you will receive a check instead of a direct deposit.

So I guess we'll have to wait for a paper check some time around mid-July.

Good news, we finally got our stimulus check this week. It came via post.

Curious, is anyone else late receiving their Rebate/Stimulus Payment? We were supposed to get ours direct deposited last week, but its not here. Same for my parents.

Our paper check should have been mailed out June 6. I don't think so

According to the new IRS link https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?ap...lectLanguage=en we are not even slated for payment yet, because our information does not show when you check on line.

According to the web site, we are suppose to have our issued next Friday. It would be nice if they'd informed us all along that if you had to pay you would be getting a paper check.
