Hi everyone!

I'm pretty new to all of this, I've posted a few questions and replied to a few. I come here quite a bit just to check things out while I (like most of you) wait for the rollercoaster ride (aka AP) to finally come to an end.

I'm afraid to get too excited about what's going on but I really really think my husband and I are nearing the end of this journey. Just to recap (and kind of vent) We were married in Casablanca April 6, 2007. Filed I130 & I129 (per lawyers suggestion), they got approved, finally over a year later comes the 1st interview (April 15th) he's given a white paper that says they need to look over what was submitted during the interview. Hummm, ok

He's called April 28th to come in with more proof (from the beginning of our relationship to be exact). I fax over 200 pages to him so he has them ready (I though the lawyer would have forwarded this :bonk: ) Anyway, April 30th my husband goes to his 2nd interview. This part sucks (did I mention rollercoaster) The woman says "Everything looks great, you've been approved. Come back on Friday to pick up your visa!" As you can imagine he's VERY HAPPY :D BUT (and believe me this is a BIG BUT! --pun intended  ) As my husband is walking out he is stopped by the security guard and told to return to the lady. Ummm, ok. He returns and she says "sorry, I can't issue you the visa today" Takes the green paper, hands him back his visa and she proceeds to tell him "your case requires AP in USA, we will call you in 1 or 2 weeks" Can you say "BUZZ KILL"?

So, I speak to a very ticked off and hurt Moroccan man who is having a well deserved hissy fit. I get what I can out of his venting and send an email to the consulate that day (still April 30th). I was carefull not to sound as unhappy as I was but I put together a very nice letter explaing what happened and requesting a "non-generic" answer.

Well, on Friday May 9th to my shock and amazement, I received an email from the Consulate :o and it's a "non-generic" reply (DOUBLE :o:o )

Here comes that rollercoaster again -- The letter reads that they were sorry about the confusion and that "your husbands case required additional AP WHICH HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED. We will contact him via telephone in a short amount of time regarding his application."

I don't know weather or not to be up, down, happy, sad or what?!?!? All I know is that I'm sleeping with my cell phone in the event that he gets that call from the Consulate saying those magic words we want to hear. I think it's a good sign and I hope we get the call soon. (ENTERING TMI ZONE: I'm sorry but I would like to trade up and sleep with my husband rather then that cell phone :innocent: )

Anyway, if anyone reads this (and has kept reading it till here  ) I wish you the very best of luck and hope you have your wishes come true very soon!!

oh, and thanks for the venting session!
