Do i send the form I130 and I129F the same day for the k3? Becuase i see more people send this I129F one month after the I130.

You have to send the I130 first and wait for the receipt (NOA1). You need to send a xerox copy of this NOA1 with your I129F.

A couple members have recently had success by sending both petitions in the same envelope directly to the California Service Center. The stated procedure is to wait for the receipt.

I have sent both my petitions in the same envelope. Both my petitions were approved today. I received hardcopies of approval notices in the mail today.

Please follow my journey by clicking link below...you'll see that having both sent together have advantages too.

For example it's nice to see when both petitions get touched on the same day, as it means both files are together and are not lost in different location. It is also nice to know that everytime they are touched, an action is taken... at least in my case it did.

In my case, not only are they are approved on the same day, but both approvals are sent to NVC for processing.

Good luck...

Chet, just be glad that you and your wife are married and have received your marriage license from Cambodia's ministry of foreign affairs. I have heard that new marriages to foreigners are not recognized in Cambodia until further notice. Due to abuse by foreign spouses to Cambodian sponsored women, the Cambodian government is holding off on approval of marriage licenses to foreigners until they find a way to resolve this matter.

TALK about bad luck for those that married recently.

In terms of speed of approval, I've helped countless people deal with different government agencies and my experience has been that government workers do not like back and forth work. They do not like to confirm, verify, or follow up on details. That's why I advise people to be comprehensive when submitting any forms or paperwork to them.

Do not send too much information but send enough to provide convincing evidence that your intention is valid.

The less time a government worker needs to verify or go back to research certain items contained in your petitions the higher the chance of approval and sooner the approval.

I believe the evidence of a bonifide marriage is important for 129 and 130 because they prove validity of marriage. But what is even more important is how a package is submited to USCIS. I know lawyers and people that send things that look like garbage. This can confuse the mail reader and make him put aside the case.

Realize that government workers work in steps. step 1. step 2. step3. If anything is out of order, they will put them aside and come back...which sometimes never happens.

I recently helped a man resolve his 130 problem where he submited evidence and other documents to NVC several times. But NVC to this day claims they never received them. What ends up happening is that he was so anxious with sending things to USCIS and NVC that he sent bits and pieces of information multiple times.

I can only imagine that everytime a peice of document is received they had to re-locate and match with the petitions. Sometimes this process can misplace things.

It appears however that the current backlog with USCIS is caused by the recent changes in procedures. Yours were sent during times when things were changing and may have been placed aside. Since they are so busy working on new petitions that come in, they forget or procrastinate to return to old cases.

But more likely than not, speed is likely determined by how many times the adjudicator has to verify information submitted to them. Maybe I am wrong.

Good luck to you!
