Case status Online “Last update” and “touch”

I have e-mail turned on at USCIS case status online portal. But I never gotten a email saying my file has been “touched”; But the “last updated” date keeps changing … and for those who have gotten the “touched” mails from USCIS …. Is the e-mail date and “last updated” date the same ??

No emails when you got Touched, Emails notifications only for the approval or RFE.

05/12/2008 ------- APPROVED !!! (NOA2 Hard copy received on May 19)

05/16/2008 ----- @ NVC

05/26/2008 ---- DS-3032 & AOS FEE BILL GENERATED

06/17/2008 ---- DS-3032 Email sent & AOS Paid Online

06/18/2008 ---- AOS FEE Received by NVC

06/19/2008 ---- AOS Docs (I-864) Sent via FEDEX

06/20/2008 ---- AOS Docs Received by NVC

06/24/2008 ---- AOS in system

06/25/2008 ---- DS3032 Accepted

06/28/2008 ---- IV Fee Generated

07/07/2008 ---- Paid IV Fee ONLINE

07/08/2008 ---- IV Fee Cashed

07/08/08 ---- DS-230 sent via FEDEX

07/09/08 ---- NVC received DS-230

07/10/08 ---- DS-230 in the system

07/15/08 ---- CASE COMPLETE

07/31/08 - NVC sent case to the Consulate

08/06/08 - @ Consulate

08/07/08 - Medical Exam and picked up CR1 packet

09/04/08 - Interview date.. APPROVED!

01/29/2008 (DS-3032 request emailed by husband and fee paid using James shortcuts)

02/01/2008 AOS fee bill received by NVC

02/05/2008 I-864 packet generated (called NVC for this information)

02/09/2008 mailed I-864 packet priority mail

02/11/2008 IV Fee bill generated and paid IV bill using experimental shortcut
