Received a letter back in March, saying within a week, some materials would be sent from NVC to the consulate office, and also given another code GUZ something something.

I tried to call the NVC number listed on NOA2, but never succeeded in reaching anyone.

My question is, therefore, what now. At least with the USCIS case number, there was a place to check the status. But with this new case number that starts with the abbreviation of the consulate office, I don't know what to do with it. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

You want to be calling NVC, the number is 603-334-0700.

I found calling early in the morning or later in the evening was the best times to reach an actual person to speak with.

you can call anytime up till midnight to get your GUZ number. You should be really close to getting your P-3 already.

Once you get you GUZ number you can call 202 -663-1225 between 8:30 am and 5 pm to check the status if the P-3 was sent out.

return it right away and you could be looking at an August interview

I have the GUZ number already, and would like to find out the next step. I read it some where that there is a trick to find out the DHL tracking number - so how do I go from my GUZ number to the DHL tracking number?

it's in customs and with GUZ not much help.......you will probably get your P-3 before you see any changes but here goes

in the DHL tracking use track by reference

in the reference section add and this is example using your date

exp 28 apr 2008B

and have your search date prior to this

that's it but you can forget it after that....it never gets updated...the last entry will be in customs

like I said you'll get your p-3 first. I would call DOS and see if it was sent to your SO

good luck

dhl won't help, if you already have your GUZxxxxxx case number call DOS. that is the best chance you can check for your visa status. the number is above (DOS - 202-663-1225-1-0) hit 1 then 0 once u connect.

don't call NVC, since your case already left and NVC will have no more update for you

call DOS

thanks. I will write this number down. Just out of my curiosity - how did you know about this DOS and DOS phone number? Because the NOA2 I received only said something about NVC and was given its number. Then the letter with the GUZxxxx number on it didn't have anything phone number. Did I miss a letter in between somewhere?
