AOS, EAD & AP status on USCIS website

Hello,

Our NOA's were issued for the EAD, AP and AOSon the 8th of May. I have been trying to add the receipt numbers with and without spaces on my USCIS portfolio so I can track the status, but it won't let me. I noticed though it does not provide examples of the MCO number as the first three letters for receipt numbers. Are we even allowed to track our case online for EAD, AP & AOS, on the USCIS website? Or does it just take a long time?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, you can track them.

Most people say the case status shows up after biometrics. Some say it appeared after NOA1, like me  . The case number is like "MSCxxxxxxxxxx."

Just be patient. It took ours a few weeks after we received our NOA to show up online.

Hope that helps a little,

Evidently it is hit or miss since our MSC numbers were recognized online as soon as I received the NOAs. The AOS and EAD MSCs also updated immediately (that same afternoon) after the biometrics.

But in a way, the online case status can seem to be more trouble than it's worth. I find myself checking it frantically. And this is after seeing our K1 status finally update to "approved" long after we got married.

I could check AOS, EAD and I-130 immediately after getting the NOA. I filed my AP application about two months later and couldn't check it until today (although it's been a few days since I last checked), the last updated date was 5/13/08 and it showed an approval notice was sent on May 9.

If I recall correctly, some fellow Feb filers could only see their cases, or some of them, a few weeks after getting their NOAs. I wouldn't read too much into it. ;)

Yeah, these days it seems to take a longer time to be able to see the status online. When I applied, I was able to check it after my check was cashed and we used the number printed on the back of the check.
