Hi there,

Do I only need to send Affidavit of Support I-134 to the beneficiary?

Also, when does first communication take place with the beneficiary and what address does the embassy use?

I’m not even sure how address work in India, it’s not down to street or anything, just the city name?

Thanks

U will need to send the I-134 and all the supporting docs..

Tax returns, 1040 W2s for the last 3 years (2007,06 and 05)

Paystubs for the past 2-3 months (most recent)

any other papers for the income you are showing...

Also send the evidence of relationship you have collected over the period of time

Phone bills

Letters/cards

receipts of gifts sent

letters from your family explaining their relationship with the beneficiary

The Consulate will contact the beneficiary once they receive the case from NVC.. Its a good idea to call the NVC and check if the ase has been sent to the Consulate... If it has, the beneficiary can call he consulate and submit DS230 part 1 and a few days later collect the packet 4 and interview date which will have all the instructions to what they need to do..

This is a good idea rather than wait for the consulate to send the packets which wastes a few weeks... Ask me if you hv any questions....

call up the NVC and check with them if they received your case / when will it be forwarded to the Consulate and then send all the papers to her. Tell her to keep a copy of everything - so her file should have - an original and a copy of each document and then arrange them so she will not have any trouble finding any document during the interview

thanks Daniel, i will give them a call.

Do you know what i need to put for following question on the I-134 form:

11. I [ ] intend [ ] do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

(If you check "intend," indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnishroom and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in U.S. dollars and state whether it is to be given in a lumpsum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.

in the VJ exmaple form it states the following:

N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )

so do i put AOS process for permanent residence?

thanks for your help...

For K1 we did not need to tick on any box, intend or do not intend (leave them blank) Daniel just wrote - (my name) will be my wife and I will always support her. That worked fine.

Ok, thanks! For K3 she already is my wife so i can put... IS my wife ...

Do i mail the affidavit of support to my wife directly? or do i send it to CSC?

on the uscis website it states:

Once the form is affirmed, it should be mailed to the same USCIS office where the application was filed.

which is CSC, but i've read on here people mail to the beneficiary... please clear this up.... thanks

Thanks for the help everyone.

My wife hasn't received anything yet from the embassy. Is she supposed to receive the packet 3?

It states we have to submit some documents to a VFS office, get a receipt, and then proceed to schedule a date for the interview? I’m a bit lost on what exactly we have to do next, when she has not received any documents.

Thanks

Did you check with the NVC? They will give you a case number which starts with NWD**********. Once they forward the case to the Consulate, download and submit form DS 230 part 1 personally, if possible. That way you will not require a Pkt 3. That saves time and after a week or so of submitting the form you will get your interview date. You can also collect the Pkt 4 personally to save time..

This is how you can save time..

Will someone who's experienced with K3 tell immillpind, what forms need to be submitted at the Consulate?
