So im sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

We have recieved our first NOA1...recieved on the 21st of April.

I have been checking the USCIS website, but to no avail, it was updated on the 15th of April and it says that the californian SS is still only processing October 07....

*so sad* we knew it would take a while, we can handle that...its only been 3 weeks, but it feels like a year....

Just thought i'd voice our woes, even though we are all going through the same thing.

Am I getting my hopes up thinking that our K1 will be processed by the end of the year (thats without any REFs being issued???)

*bit sad*

Dont worry that much about what the offical site stats say - At momment heaps of December and late November folk are getting some action, and even a few Jan people

The VJ stats seems more realistic from my experience, and it is worth keeping an eye on Igors list

http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/

But hang in there, try and stay busy, and most of all focus on why you started this process in the first place :)

We received our NOA1 April 19, 2008, close with yours. As we filed, I set my mind that this 'slow' center will surely be slow as it appears with the timelines of those who filed ahead of us. But seeing there are some who were approved in 3-5 months time, we can hope for the same processing time. No one knows and that is a question to some if CSC is lying since it appears that they are processing October 07 but there got December '07 and January '08 filers been approved.

You got to check on this: http://cse.ssl.berkeley.edu/igor/vjdata/

I cant blame you, knowing that K1 process in CSC is so slow and dont know if u will be one of the lucky filer who will get approved early or not, makes people feel so sad and stress. I got my NOA1 12-10-07 and still have no NOA2. Seeing Nov, Dec and some Jan filers who got approved makes me feel so frustated and wondering whats going on with my paper now..... CSC should do First In-First Out. But for those who got approved, Iam so happy for you guys, few more steps to go and u will be with ur loved one. Goodluck to us.....and hope to hear more CSC approvals.

The CSC is not lying, just being conservative. They always quote figures to show a 6 month lead time on applications. The reason for this is once your application goes past their "Apporval timeline" You can raise merry hell with queries on the case, getting politicans involved etc. The bulk of approvals are comming from late November onwards. Yes there are some stragglers from Oct, but these poor people seem to be the exception rather than the norm

thanks guy for all your messages.

I feel a little terrible, there are so many people in the similiar situation to us--lots who have been waiting for longer. In the long run this waiting and waiting and worrying and stressing will all be worth it...but somehow that doesnt make it any easier.

I understand why the UCSIS website has been 'conserative', believe me I feel like making a phone call to a politician too, but we just have to be patient, eh?

Thanks guys, Im sure this wont be my last *anxious* post.
