I'm sorry about your difficulty :( , hopefully you can give the needed paperwork and get it resolved quickly. Delhi has a lot of fraud cases so sometimes they just want to make sure. Many people get the visa approval a few weeks after giving the requested 221g evidence. So stay strong and gather all the evidence they requested.

It is a good idea for you to submit a notarized letter from your wife about how you met and about how much you love each other, etc. Both of you could get notarized letters from friends or family too, saying how they are aware of the relationship and how you are a real, loving couple.

You need to give all evidence they request, so definitely include the notarized passport copy and any proof of her travels to India; since she has a PIO card so doesn't need visa, you could get her to send you things like the itinerary and copies or stubs of the ticket.

As they request, get copies of her tax returns and you can attach her medical report. Also you could have her get a statement from her employer on why she works less hours.

About co-sponsors I always get confused because I didn't need one. However I think your wife would be counted in the household only if she is in the co-sponsor's household, otherwise not. If your wife is not part of the co-sponsor's household, then their income is enough according to the guidelines.

Stay strong and confident! If they schedule another interview and they try to make trouble, ask to speak to a SUPERVISOR. Don't just walk out of the Consulate and accept it if they try to deny. Wishing you good luck for a fast visa approval!

You have a great chance because you are doing all the right things, congrats on that! Of course the Senator will help so do what your wife says, submit all the needed documents.

The Consulate might have made a decision to give 221g before even looking at all the evidence. They just made a wrong judgment but luckily you are doing all the right things. You can give the mail from the supervisor, it will help too.
