Wow... what a gem of a thread!

Some people's ignorant colors really have come out to shine here. The obvious PWNing has reached an audience, let me say... :lol:

And yes... trying to discredit McCain by having a KKK endorsement is equally idiotic like trying to discredit Obama with an Al Qaeda endorsement.

For other fools, there is always to inability to rationalize orgaizations of hatred with organizations that promote equality. Oh well. Fools will be fools. Let the smart bone not be the funny bone.

As far as I know the NAACP is (still) a far cry away from the KKK - even if the KKK is a pale shadow of what it was in the 30's.

I should also add to the other comments that what this organisation thinks doesn't really have a bearing on McCain's campaign, any more than that other "don't vote for Obama/Kerry/Clinton (insert name of Democratic candidate here), because terrorists want them to win". Its guff.

For the record, the NAACP is not supposed to endorse any politician.

That is what the Congressional Black Caucus is for.

(although the Clintons do seem to flaunt NAACP support, and they are white.)

The NAACP routinely endorses (mostly) Democratic candidates - usually white, since black candidates usually don't exist in every race.

The KKK is a bunch of damn fools.

They once tried to "adopt" part of a highway here in St. Louis in the adopt-a-highway program....cleaning up the roadsides. There was such a fuss and they actually thought they would have to call in the National Guard to allow this to actually happen and ensure their safety. In the end, the KKK was banned from cleaning up the highway. It was kind of funny as it was unfolding.

no true.....anyone can join the naacp ..not just blacks......

and i had a white client who was mistreated in a job situation and they went to bat for him./....they have supported white people in areas of this country.........

i was a member years ago...in college..and i am paler than white-out
