My wedding is in less than 3 weeks and we are gathering together the AOS paperwork to file as soon as possible afterwards.

We are definatly going to need a joint sponsor as the USC earns under the 120% guideline and has only been working 3months due to spending a year in Scotland with me. I'm looking for info from people who have recently succesfully used a joint sponsor regarding what exactly was sent.

This is stressing me out and on top of that is the up coming wedding. Those that know me from the UK and K1 boards will know that I'm the VJ queen of stress.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hey, I'm going to jump on the thread with my own question regarding joint sponsors....

Here is my situation....we filed back in March and at the time we submitted the I-864 with our joint tax return info...we are above the 125% level because of my income (i'm the foreign spouse and she is an intern this year)....but over the summer there will be changes....i'm leaving my job and going back to school starting in the fall and she will be beginning her full-time job (above 125%) in mid-August....is it sufficient to complete another I-864 reflecting her new income (although at this point all she has is an offer letter) or are we going to need a joint sponsor since her job will be either new (if the interview is after mid-August) or still about to begin (if the interview is before mid-August)?

Thanks!

You're in my position sorta. We're over the 125% because of my income, but I'll be switching jobs.

You're fine as long as you have the income, changes or not. Fill out another i-864 and get as much evidence as you can, pay stubs, letters etc. They may not ask for them but have them ready just in case.
