I am in the process of filling out the I-129F for my finacee. While I am compiling all the information, will it be OK for her to obtain a visitors visa and visit me in the U.S.? She lives in Mexico and has family in Texas who she would like to visit also.

If she obtains the tourist visa, she would still have to prove strong ties to Mexico every time she crosses the border (lease, mortgage, letter from employer). This does not guarantee they will let her in every time or any time. A lot of folks go back and forth, but it's never a sure thing.

Hi Chuck and Teresa here. If you apply for the tourist visa before the I 129 you could be ok. But there is speculation on filing for a tourist visa after you apply for the 1 129 some times they take it is you are goung to "Marry" if that is the case on your tourist visa. As said before if you have strong family ties you could be ok. However the bottom line is you want reasonable doubt in your favor when you got get your I 129 visa. It is a ball game there and you never know what angle they will use to try to throw you off. Be storng love long and you will be great. We will pray that everything works out the way you dream it will. God Bless you and your Journey. Chuck and Teresa

I plan to submit the I-129F by June 1. I doubt my fiance could obtain the visitor visa before then. I don't want to jeopardise the finace visa. Unless someone has success like my situation I don't think she will apply for a visitors visa. Thanks for your responce and advice.
