:( my bf sent all application in the end of last month. But he has something important to take money from bank. he is so careless that there is not 170$ left. Last Friday, he found the CSC charge some dollar as penalty. then he put enough money in the bank. but it is late already. So now what we can do? is the CSC can deal with our case? I am so worried now.

11-07-2006: sent the RFE back

11-15-2006: CSC got our RFE

12-05-2006: touched!!

If, for some reason, the cheque doesn't clear then CSC will not deal with your case - they will return it. Of course, the petition can be filed again, so it isn't a disaster, just a delay. But if there's any way to avoid the situation, I would try to sort it.

Not sure about penalty fees.

The initial mystery that attends any journey is: how did the traveller reach his starting point in the first place?

I wouldn't send another application. He should keep checking his bank account to see if the payment has been made. If not, CSC will either return the petition or issue an RFE for the payment, not sure which. Filing another petition would likely confuse things.

He could possibly call CSC, but I'm not sure how helpful that would be.
