Hello. I have submitted my visa k1 application, and already received the noa1.

It just came to my mind that the form calls for 'proving an ongoing relationship' when the interview comes.

What can I do to prove that I have an ongoing relationship if I am living with my fiance in her home country. We don't write emails to each other, there are no phone logs...we live together and will continue to do so until the visa is approved.

Is the fact that we live together enough proof for the interview officer to see that we have an ongoing relationship, or do we need to do something else.

Thank you.

Do you have a lease under both your names? Bank accounts? Utility bills showing you share address? that will help.

The "fact" no. "Evidence" yes. Actually evidence you live together is the best possible evidence of bona fides.

Thanks, I definitely have mail addressed to me. Should I just keep the labels off the box and send that with my fiance to her interview?

Yes, both of our names our on the lease, but its in polish. So I will need to get this translated, right? My fiance speaks polish an english and worked in translating, would they accept it if she did the translation or would it need to be professionally done.

So far I understand I should send

Postal labels addressed to me

Photos of us together, dated

Copy of the Lease, with both our names on it, translated.

Any thing else you guys can think of. We don't share a bank account, nor is the utility bill in my name.

Would the above evidence likely be enough for our visa to get approved. I'm pretty worried about getting denied for something that could have been prevented.

Also, would it be a problem that my mail is addressed to my nick name "nate" instead of 'Nathan"?

hi we lived together also since oct 2007. and then we filed K1 decmber.. My interview--April 22, 08

We dont have ym chatlogs also, seldom email, & no phonelogs coz we used prepaid in PI

but I included this in my evidence...

Cards that I gave to him during Christmas & his birthday, I included also receipts for the gifts that he gave me.

(photocopies only)

printed copies of our emails back & forth before we live together

printed emails from his parents to me, and to my then fiance.

pictures of us in the area where we live

pictures of us with my family & his Dad's visit to my family

photocopy of our lease

photocopy of mails that was sent to me & him showing the address where we live

copy of bills in his name

copy of some bills in my name

i opened savings account and let the bank sent my statement in my new address (i brought copy of this also in embassy)

copies of receipts of our purchased with our name on it.. (we requested this :) put our name both in the receipts)

suggestion: if you have time,, try emailing him sometimes even u live together :P, like just thanks him for his effort, kindness.. etc .. crazy inlove stuff :star:

P.S I voluntary told the consul too that we live together :) it really helps.. (promise).. he was amazed coz my fiance was waiting for me to come in USA.. he did not left me & supported me all the way..

(He did not asked me to show the proved that I had)

Goodluck and God Bless :)

Nate,

Please complete your profile and timeline. Some Consulates allow the couple to attend the interview and some do not. I don't know whether you can attend in Poland or not. Perhaps somebody with specific knowledge of that will respond or you could email the Consulate and ask.

I would have somebody else at the least or even an agency translate that lease but you'll also be able to document the extended stay(s) in Poland with passport stamps, visas, receipts, etc.

Hey, I updated my timeline.

What kind of questions would they ask? I heard a story somewhere on this board where they tried to ask questions and play the petitioner against his fiance, and ended up getting denied... we have nothing to hide, but I'm just wondering what they might ask to be prepared.

Separate question... When does my fiance need to get her medical done? Will we receive a notice from the service center with directions explaining what medical tests she needs done, or is that something we need to take care of without notice from the service center?

The guides have the answers to those questions. Please fill in the profile information too. You aren't from N/A and filing for the N/A visa.
