It would seem like countries using ENGLISH as primary language would be the easiest, but its not the case either. For example in russia our spellings to translate to english is pain in the butt. That might make my case "difficult" compared to say someone from England, or other English speaking country.

Some USCIS agents say the country of origin matters, others say it doesnt. I dont know who to believe, some say "First in first out" some say, easy cases get apporoved while complicated get left on the shelf. Which case is simple? Which case is complicated? So many questions, ABSOLUTELY NO ANSWERS.

Ilya R. VSC everynight before leaving plays Blind Mans Bluff, one officer is blind folded, lights turn off, turns him around and whatever box they trip over, that is the box for next days processing.

Sounds as logical as VSC is sending out approvals. Oh geez, a Oxy Moron, "VSC" and "logical "said in same sentence.

haha, made me chuckle

especially when I imagined it, it seemed so real.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

BTW, country of origin has to matter if people are going for a CR1 because a visa may be dependent on their being a visa number available to the beneficiary's country. I'm very fuzzy on this area so if anyone can elaborate, I'd appreciate it.

haha, made me chuckle

especially when I imagined it, it seemed so real.

That's how I imagined their touches in the past  ... like a freaky weekend office party, just to spice up the quota and mess up some applicants being glued to their pc's to check status updates.

Are you saying that spouses of soldiers should get special treatment? I'm failing to grasp the nature of the gripe.

All I know is this : My husband is at work now and after work he'll return to his very comfortable home and have a full meal and nobody will shoot near him or in any way threaten the lives of his family. I very much want him to be with me but I'm not going to begrudge someone who is getting out of a hellish situation that perhaps, just perhaps, the US government feels somewhat responsible for creating.

Also consider that many have the option of leaving the US to be with our spouses if this process does not meet with our satisfaction. (I don't right now because of a blemish in my background, but in time I will.)

I hate this process. I hate what Vermont is up to. But on this issue, I give them a pass.

You want to know if I think spouse of soldiers should get special treatment ? .... Personally and I know a lot would agree with me .... YES!

Our lives are very different to civillian lifestyles .... you're lucky in the fact you always know that your Husband will be in his comfortable home with a full meal and nobody will shoot near him .... whereas we can be separated from our Husbands without a moments notice sometimes and not even know where they are or whether we'll ever see them alive again.

There's a few on this website in that exact situation ..... yet they have had to wait weeks and some of them months to see if their expedites will be processed.

There is a reason why Military Spouses have their own day .... and the President thanks us (supposedly) ...... we have a difficult lifestyle, which doesn't end when this visa process is over .... Army and Marines now deploy for 15 months!!!!

That's 15 months of not knowing if your Husband will come back dead in a bag .... alive or possibly with no arms or legs .... I doubt you have those conversations with your Husband at night on the webcam .... the conversations where you have to discuss what could happen in the future.

No, you probably talk about the fact it's a shame you can't live under the same roof .... whereas a lot of military spouses are discussing how we'll cope if when the next time we see our Husbands we have to feed them and wipe their backsides.

None of us choose the person we fall in love with .... and unlike you, we don't have the option of simply moving countries .... our Husbands belong to the US Government and we have no choice but to go through this silly process in a hope we can support them face to face instead of occassional calls on a SAT-Phone.

Since we have a voluntary military, it goes along with the job. Service was elected, not imposed.

I am grateful for the job that they do, but they chose to do that job.

And to some extent, you do choose who you fall in love with. You weigh everything and you make a decision. Again, it was elected, not imposed.

VSC Processing Rules:

VSC elects to ignore the K3 and the CR-1 petitions, and impose to process K1 petitons.

And for falling in love, I did not spot my husband and chose to fall in love with him, there were no options to weigh, it just happen. Best damn decision I impossed or elected I ever made.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
