I 129-F approval yesterday at VSC

Just got approved at Vermont this morning on my I129-F. What should I expect going forward. Is there anything I can do to be proactive??? My fiance is in Bogota, Colombia if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help offered

once NVC recieves the app, they will generally send it to bogota within 2 weeks, then, if bogota processes it before the middle of the month, they will schedule the interview for the next month.

you can see interview dates on thier website. there is a link for interview dates by case number.

so, i would say you are looking at an possible interview date in july.

plan on being there for the interview if possible.

in other words, go to the f'ng interiew with her.

make sure you guys start collecting all the packet 3 paperwork now

read about bogota interviews and stuff.

she will need her vacinations up to date, vacunations standards have been increased. and all her birth certs, marriage/divorce papers if any, and other papers all need the famous colombian notaria stamps of approval. god help you if she needs to deal with the local catholic church for batismal records, f those bastards.

also, you guys will have to pay an interview fee a day or so before the interview at a local bank a few blocks from the embassy.

just read up on the k1 forms needed and have plenty of extras on hand.

also, have your paperwork such as birth certificates and any prior divorce records. i had a couple of extras of everything.

you never know what they will ask for.

basically, a bunch of f'ng colombians run the embassy and you have to pass muster with them before you actually get to speak to the american consuate.

you will eventually end up talking to an american consulate at a window and chatting on a phone to them behind a plate glass.

plan on spending at least 5 hours at the embassy standing in line and waiting for her name to be called.

your reward is that she will be granted a visa, come here , get married and then have the priviledge of paying another 1000 plus dollars for an application to adjust status and get to deal with the einstein c suckers at uscis.
