Hi everyone ... is there anyone here knows the process of marriage in Las Vegas? We are planning to get married in Las Vegas just a civil marriage... thank you

I have had friends who married in Nevada. It is shockingly easy. Look for a "wedding chapel" and make a reservation (some do walk-in weddings). Bring some US IDs or passports, they will write up the certificate for you and then you run it down to the court house and file it with them. If you go in after breakfast, you can start your honeymoon before lunch. Call around to find a chapel with a good price. Maybe you could get an Elvis impersonator to marry you! :)

My sister got married in that drive-thru "chapel" and it just didn't feel right. The marriage only lasted a few months, no surprise there.

It's very easy to get married in Vegas, like most people said, all you have to do is go to the courhouse which has very convenient hours of operation and then go to any chapel you want. There are a lot of chapels on the strip that will do quickie weddings. But if you want something really nice with a photographer, champagne, video, and a nice chapel, all you have to do is go to each hotel's website and they'll have their wedding packages listed there. They can start as low as $500 and go as high as $30k. But even the less expensive ones are very, very nice.

Here are just a few:

Bellagio Hotel Wedding Packages

Paris Hotel Wedding Packages

Venetian Hotel Wedding Packages

I got married in Vegas. AS people have said, you have to go to the Marriage Bureau at the Clark County courthouse to get your license before you can get married. When we went, there was a pretty long line and waited about half an hour - I'd definitely allow a bit of time for that. It's also about a 10 miniute drive (or longer, depending on traffic) from the main part of the strip. Think it was about $50. The skies the limit in terms of what kind of wedding you can have. We did it at the Little Church of the West which is just south of the strip not far from the Mandalay Bay. Elvis and Ann-Margaret got married there in Viva Las Vegas. I liked it a lot.

Everything about getting married in LV, or Reno for that matter, just seems wrong to me too. I don't want to do it. I would rather have a nice, proper church wedding but I don't think the gods have that in mind for us. I have no idea when my Joan will arrive and so sending out wedding invitations isn't going to be an option. We will probably have to do some sort of quickie-marriage just to get the documents we need for her AOS. We will take care of the INS first and then take care of Jesus; I am sure He will understand ...

Oh nooooo, no, no. Getting married in Las Vegas can be quite special actually even though they make the process faster and easier. Like I said, you don't have to get married at a drive-thru or by Elvis, there's a lot of choices down there that can be affordable.

Dont know who gave you info on vegas weddings but my wedding here in a chapel was as nice and proper as any wedding anywhere. There was nothing wrong about it. Maybe you should do a little research on the subject before you jump to conclusions about what is wrong here in vegas. And i got news for you...God was present at my wedding.

Hi everyone ... is there anyone here knows the process of marriage in Las Vegas? We are planning to get married in Las Vegas just a civil marriage... thank you

My husband and I got married at Imperial Palace Hotel at Las Vegas. They have a nice chapel at the 4th floor of the casino hotel. We booked first our date of wedding and went to Marriage Bureau for our License. Imperial Palace has sorts of package for wedding but we paid ours for $100.00 for a civil ceremony. They have parlor too but quite expensive, its good my husband is a regular customer there so we just paid for $340.00 for 5days stay including the food and the parlor charge. After we the ceremony, we just go to the restaurant and had a simple but meaningful celebration with my family. The Officiating Minister did a good job.

The Marriage Bureau is open from 8:00am to 12:00MN everyday and located at 201 West Calrk Avenue, Las Vegas with Phone number 702-671-0600. License fee is $55.00( cash). No waiting period nor blood test. You have to bring valid Photo Identification.

Imperial Palace chapel bookings phone numbers are 866-228-0918/702-697-8500 or email the at weddings@imperialpalace.com.

We got married last March 16 a day before Manny Pacquiao won over Morales..Its a double celebration being a pinoy and married to my Dearest.. :dancing::dancing: Peace to all Mexicans VJ members..:hehe:

Goodluck and Congratulations in advance..

Just to be clear, I am in NO WAY attacking LV, Reno or any of the people who live in either Washoe or Clark counties! I was only saying that the idea of a quickie-marriage performed by Elvis was not for me. I am sure there are lots of meaningful options available, especially since nearly a million people live in those two cities. As for the religiosity of LV, I don't doubt it for a minute. I actually had a great uncle who was a Brother out there but he died YEARS ago.

I did the drive through and it was quite fun... and guess what.... we are going to last ! that's for sure !

(and it have nothing to do with how somptuous the wedding is)

(i got a first wedding, very nice and it didn't last so that really means nothing).

As long as you know what to expect it's all good... and as drive through as it was... believe me, we had emotion going on and tears were coming up while we exchanged our vows.

Also.. the car is now a special place for us :P

I wouldn't recommend it for a first wedding but for a second it's just all good.
