I'm entering the US on a TN visa in August, my passport expires the following May giving me just over 8 months... The TN visa will be for a year, and I read that you need 6 months on your passport beyond the time you intend to stay in the country.

Does anyone know if I can enter on a passport that will expire in less than 18 months, and renew it while in the US? I also read that having a Canadian passport will automatically allow a 6 month extension, but that still doesn't give me enough time.
