hi there,

i am about to file adjustment of status.in the EA form they ask me if i ever applied for EA before. When i entered

the us on my k1 visa they stamped employment authorized into my passport at the point of entry, but i never applied for it.

so which box should i check on the form?

i also have a question for the advanced parole form: they ask me when, why and to where i wnat to leave the country. i just want to keep it as an option wether i want to

go visit my parents for a while or just go on vacation somewhere else, so what should i state on the form and do i have to mention every single country i might me traveling to?

thx in advance for any helpfull answers

No you've not applied for an EAD before, even if you were issued with a category (a)(6) EAD stamp on your I-94.

For AP, just state that you want the AP to use in case of family emergency or to travel, and just say "as and when needed" for the dates. My application was very vague. I put "unknown" for date of intended departure and length of trip, and for my suppliment to part 7 I put:

"Part 7

I qualify for Advance Parole based on my admission as a K-1 Visa holder (see enclosed copy of I-797, Notice of Action for K-1 Approval). I am filing this I-131 along with I-485 to adjust my status to that of Legal Permanent Resident following my marriage to the USC who filed the K-1 petition for me.

I wish to be granted an Advance Parole document to enable me to travel to England to see my family, and to use in case of any future family emergency."

I had no problems with the AP being issued.
