Alot of Arabs don't know english spelling ok it doesn't matter maghrebi maghreby it's the same if you don't understand ENGLISH!!! Explain to your husbands or wives the different sounds in Y and I and watch them confuse the 2 .

I'm sorry, Sarah, didn't mean to get you upset... i wasn't passing judgment.

i was just pointing out that having lived, taught, and studied Arabic in Morocco, i never saw these two words transliterated into English this way... it would be like seeing Habibati spelled Habibaty... i've just never seen it like that. that's all. (F)

The words are transliterated to be deceptive and funny..... it isnt that deep..Its her husband for sure

Oh no i didn't get upset at you personally. I just see that alot with Arabi people they don't know the difference in the english language as someone who has been educated fully here in USA. You'd have to actually meet/talk to family member with limited english or whatever to see how it's misunderstood so it's nothing to apologize over you are crazy! :star: I wanted to help clear confusion that's how I put it in plain english :lol:
