How is it acceptable to exhibit nasty behavior and name calling towards ta me and peezey yet no one else here likes it directed towards themselves?

First off, ta me was not saying anything nasty, negative or even remotely name calling towards GG. She was expressing that the thread was unnecessary. She was commenting about the author of the "love letter", not GG.

Everyone has different personalities, likes, dislikes, writing styles, intelligence, tolerance, etc. Not everything has to be kumbaya over a campfire. Somethings are utterly ridiculous and no one should have to be silenced or ridiculed because they speak up about it.

i don't get why this is note-worthy. omg,a trashy, sleazy guy you met in egypt just sent you a dorky email! yeah, and? i don't doubt that it's happened to a sizable population of women who use the internet. somehow they manage to find the strength and courage to block the fools and move on without having to create nonsensical threads about it.

Go back though many of the locked threads and you'll see a trend of profiles that show up in these locked threads. I whole heartily disagree with you that the person(s) of these profiles doesn't come on here specifically to leave "nasty" remarks. In fact it's the only time they tend to show up. Check their posts the proof is in the pudding moi friend.

Nasty remarks to some, different prespective to others. We can't all agree all the time. Some ppls' opinions may be too "cynical" or "harsh" for some to handle. Doesn't mean they are necessarily "nasty". Honestly, I don't know how some ppl on this forum handle real life. If you can't take a little criticism or difference of opinion on a message board, how are you going to handle all of the azzholes life throws at you?

Awww... i'm sorry, GG, for your discomfort with the whole situation.

When i first started reading the thread, i thought it was humorous, and that you must be a hottie.

But seeing as you are truly creeped out, i'm sorry for that. If it is bad, maybe you should tell your hubbie, just to give him a heads up to any weirdness that might come up unexpectedly? And i agree: Block Sender.

Maybe yes, maybe no, but I can't say that I can remember a time when either of them have been particularly supportive, but rather critical of several. You pretty much get what you give.

For the OP, I can see why you don't want to tell your hubby about this, but perhaps you should look at it this way. If this had happened to him with one of your friends would you want to know? Also, what if you don't tell him but he finds out later? Would he be upset that you didn't confide in him?

This is really a personal decision, and both my husband and I have had similar issues. We both agree to tell each other about it. Not that it served any purpose because both him and I can handle ourselves, but it is nice to know that we have this kind of openess and honesty between us.

As far as that little #######, well lets just say he doesn't deserve any response from you.
