Hi Bani -

What Loto, myself, hyd, and others on VJ have learned is that you CAN pay the bills online. You have to make sure it's "INVOICED" so that you see the amount you have to pay on the website ($70 for AOS and $400 for IV Bill) ... If you can see the amount and the option to PAY, go ahead!

Once you pay (using a checking or savings account - not credit card), you have to wait 1-2 days for the status on the website to change from IN PROCESS to PAID ... Once it says PAID you will have an option at the bottom of the page to PRINT COVER LETTER ... This is the coverletter/barcode that is necessary for you to have with your papers that you send in!

I paid and sent in everything without waiting for a single letter from the NVC! :) And I was done with the entire NVC process in 26 DAYS!

A quick question...I know NVC had received our application and we are waiting for them to generate the DS-3032 and AOS bill. Is there any way that we can make the payment before receiving any correspondent from them?

I know...I am being impatient!!! :yes::P

Where do you sign on NVC's website?

It is Dept of State's website to sign in (not NVC's) to make payment and print barcode sheets. It is there in the document on the first page of this thread :thumbs:

Thanks for any info.

Get IIN right now. Then sign in DOS's site in the document to make the payment if invoiced. You can email DS-3032 once you hear in NVC's AVR. Step by step doc is on the first page of this thread :thumbs:

Hyd and Rajee, what I am thinking is about pending I-129F:

1) If it is approved before consulate interview - email to NVC to invalidate it.

2) If it is approved after consulate interview - email to NVC to invalidate it.

3) If it is NOT approved after consulate interview - call USCIS to invalidate it.

In any case, email or call will be there :star::star::star:

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information,processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

u should call!! and speak to one..

Hello All,

Thanks for the replies.. guys.. Today i called NVC customer service at two different times and asked to get a inovice indetification number, so i can pay my immigrant visa fee bill online.. They told me that "they stopped doing online payment.. as some were having problems.. The trail period is over now.. and cann't do online.. Have to wait for actual bill to come in the mail.. I was so upset.. but anyways..

Is it just me or anybody else having that same issue..

I am still confused about the I-129F ... When I called the Department of State Visa Center (in D.C.), I got this lady who was not quite understanding my concern - she saw that the I-130 was approved and was explaining to me why that was better than the K3 ... I explained that I knew that part, but I was concerned about whether having the I-129F pending would affect anything - she told me it would not ...

Pushbrk has been saying it should not affect anything and at one point he said "Don't cancel a petition unless you don't want the beneficiary to come to the U.S."

Also, my wife called the US Embassy helpdesk # and got a friendly gentlemen who basically said, "Don't worry, your I-130 is approved, this is just a formality and you'll be fine". I believe he told her also that the I-129F is not an issue ...

SOOOOOOOOO - I'm confused lol

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

5/29 : NVC received DS-230 at 11:01 am

5/30 : DS-230 entered into system

6/03 : CASE COMPLETE - 26 DAYS AFTER NVC RECEIVED I-130

6/10 : Interview scheduled (for 7/9 originally)

6/14 : Interview letter (my copy) received.

6/16 & 6/21 : Medical

7/16 : Interview completed - APPROVED!

7/21 : Neetu picked up passport/brown packet from VFS

7/25 : POE AT EWR!!!

End of Sept: GC received!

10-12-07 -mailed i130 to VSC

10-16-07- received by VSC

1-11-08- i130 NOA1

2-24-08-view case online

4-19-08- i130 NOA2

4-24-08- NOA2 hardcopy received

4-24-08- NVC CASE #ASSIGNED MDR

5-04-08- EMAILED CHOICE OF AGENT TO NVC

5-05-08- DS3032 AND AOS fee bill was generated today

5-05-08- paid AOS fee bill $70 online

5-07-08- AOS FEE now says PAID online, can print cover sht.

5-07-08*cald NVC and msg says AOS $recvd

5-12-08-DS3032 EMAIL Accepted

5-13-08*cald NVC and msg now says DS3032 choice of agent has been received.

5-13-08-mailed AOS i864 packet w/printed cover sheet from online payment (certified mail- priority)

5-15-08-AOS packet received by NVC

5-18-08 iv FEE bill invoiced

5-18-08 iv fee $400 paid online

5-20-08-iv fee cleared, able to print covr shet online

5-21-08-mailed DS230 packet to NVC via priority mail

5-29-08 aos ACCEPTED

5-29-08- DS 230 entered in system

6-3-08-cse cmplte.

6-11-08 case left NVC to chennai via DHL

6-16-08 case reached chennai

7-2-08 appt letter received by beneficiary

7-4-08 medical done in chennai

7-28-08 interview- AP for 4-6 weeks (awaiting name chk clearance-told by chenai operator)

8-20-08 chennai forwarded file to DOS- according to inquiry from congressmans office

(also confirmed by DOS)

8-28-08 file reached DOS- told by operator

9-2-08- last update to case,told by DOS

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-15-08 submitted passport to vfs

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail
