I've heard the magic words -- CASE COMPLETE!

I called this morning and talked to a lady who kinda confused me .. She was sweet but I didn't get what she was trying to say totally ... I was going to actually ask VJ'ers if they had ever had a conversation like this ...

I'll paraphrase:

Me: Hi, I just wanted to know if my case was completed.

Her: Yes it looks like it's complete

M: Really? That's great - that was fast!

H: Looks like there was an expedite.

M: An expedite? There's a notice of an expedite on it?

H: Oh, actually, I don't see an expedite request on here.

M: Oh, so is it complete?

H: I'm looking at it and it's actually not quite complete. It seems the documents have all been reviewed, but they will be reviewing them one more time.

M: Oh, ok so it's not done ...

H: Looks like it's almost done - please call us back in a couple of days and we should have good news for you.

M: Thanks!

THEN OF COURSE - I called back at about 6:30pm today ...

Explained to the guy I talked to that I was confused by the above conversation and wasn't sure if it was completed or what's going on.

He said "Don't worry about it - it's all done."

My reaction, "WHAT? It's complete."

Him, "Yes, they completed it for you today, June 3rd".

Then he told me to just wait for an interview date and asked that I call back in 1-2 weeks as they will schedule further interviews during the second week of June, and possibly I should have an interview for July!

M: Oh, so is it complete?

H: I'm looking at it and it's actually not quite complete. It seems the documents have all been reviewed, but they will be reviewing them one more time.

M: Oh, ok so it's not done ...

H: Looks like it's almost done - please call us back in a couple of days and we should have good news for you.

M: Thanks!

THEN OF COURSE - I called back at about 6:30pm today ...

I hope you're right, LOTO - the reps at NVC say it's POSSIBLE but they won't confirm it ...

How long did you wait after case complete to call and get an interview date??? They're asking us (me and hyd) to call back next week because they only schedule interviews during the 2nd week of each month - meaning 2nd week of June they'll hopefully get us scheduled for July!

im new here i was a k-3 and they only proceeded with my I-13O so my husband paid the $7O bill n i send email for my DS-3O32 ... still not receieved anything from them but its only been two days so i can wait longer lol....

I want the link for NVC which i can use to check my status or to know if it says PAID yet so i can start on I-864...also where is that barcode thingy exactly? forgive me these question's been asked before....

Anyone with any confirmed evidence that a pending K3 would negatively impact getting a CR-1 at the interview? I read the only topic on VJ that I could find about this actually happening ... Advice has otherwise been contrary to this and I feel relatively comfortable that this is not an issue from various sources here and through DOS (my wife also asked helpdesk at New Delhi Embassy but they are sometimes less than reliable).

I am really new to this.. Please help me out.. I have filed for my husband.. He is in India.. I am waiting for my I-864 package in the mail.. and also generated Immigrant visa fee bill.. but not got that yet.. i read that you can pay the bill and print the barcodes and other related papers online..Please tell me how can i expedite this.. I have read all of you'll responses and that you guys are helping so many people.. Please help me out too..

I did that first...but still confused.. even though the immigrant visa fee bill is generated and i haven't received in the mail.... Will it be ok for me to pay it online.. and haven't received the I-864 package.. even though mailing that it would be ok..
