Some good news - I wish I had gotten through on Friday to put my concerns to rest earlier but I called this morning and it's official - NVC entered our DS-230 in the system on 5/30/08!!! Hopefully it'll be completed within the next week or so and we'll have a real shot at a July interview date!

rajee my case was entered in on may 29

we have the same timle line!!

any ways i plan to fly to india to be with my husband for the interview, since i am able to get 2 weeks off from work

Hyd, Since your DS-230 is entered on May 29th, your case will be closed around June 10th. Normally, Chennai consulate schedules interview on 10th of each month for the following, you're in border line for July interview. However, we never know.

I called NVC today and they said all my docments had been received. And I should get a decision within 6-8 weeks

That's standard message. Once your DS-230 is entered, you'll have case completion within 2 weeks

Welcome home Loto!!! Still no change for me today...at least on the AVR. I am on the west coast, so I will give it another couple of hours before I try to get a live operator update. I am always hoping my case went complete and they just forgot to update the AVR message... LOL!!!! Hope Springs Eternal!!!

Rajee, if your case is completed before June 10th, you have chances in July interview since U.S consulate (I know at least Chennai) normally schedules interviews on 10th of each month for the following month. Good luck Rajee, we never know

Just got off the phone with an NVC operator. Although my AVR hasn't chnaged yet, as of today our case was COMPLETE!!!! What a relief!!! Waiting on interview scheduling, probably not until next week though for a July date. Almost to the finish line though. Who is next??

LOTO - I'm hoping I can be approved before the end of this week, I did some number crunching looking at the other thread which was tracking after DS-230 entry (case complete and interview dates) and I saw that the completed cases were taking about 6 days on average ... So I'm hoping that 7 days will be enough for mine (that would put me at June 6th) ... even 10 days will work because that's June 9 and that's the "cut-off" for a July interview, supposedly!

9th is the cutoff..i caled NVC last night they said my ds230 is stil under review..

i hopee hope by end of this week we get a case complete, that will put as at a july date!!

Is there any loan to finance immigration related fee ??? An insurance policy is also needed to cover the financing amount if the applicant defaults to this loan... Once the immigration is over, making the approval notices as collateral, can we take a reverse loan same like reverse mortgage ???

I've heard the magic words -- CASE COMPLETE!

I called this morning and talked to a lady who kinda confused me .. She was sweet but I didn't get what she was trying to say totally ... I was going to actually ask VJ'ers if they had ever had a conversation like this ...

I'll paraphrase:

Me: Hi, I just wanted to know if my case was completed.

Her: Yes it looks like it's complete

M: Really? That's great - that was fast!

H: Looks like there was an expedite.

M: An expedite? There's a notice of an expedite on it?

H: Oh, actually, I don't see an expedite request on here.

M: Oh, so is it complete?

H: I'm looking at it and it's actually not quite complete. It seems the documents have all been reviewed, but they will be reviewing them one more time.

M: Oh, ok so it's not done ...

H: Looks like it's almost done - please call us back in a couple of days and we should have good news for you.

M: Thanks!

THEN OF COURSE - I called back at about 6:30pm today ...

Explained to the guy I talked to that I was confused by the above conversation and wasn't sure if it was completed or what's going on.

He said "Don't worry about it - it's all done."

My reaction, "WHAT? It's complete."

Him, "Yes, they completed it for you today, June 3rd".

Then he told me to just wait for an interview date and asked that I call back in 1-2 weeks as they will schedule further interviews during the second week of June, and possibly I should have an interview for July!
