Here is the final draft of the NVC document. I have added the NVC's crazy RFE message too here. I encourage everybody to use this version 1.5 and discard all my previous versions.

If you follow this path, you can get out of NVC in one month time :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

If you use this process with the new online system you will be done in about a month. NVC start date was June 2nd, finished on July 10th. Pesky holidays slowed me down :star:

I mailed in my IV fee bill sometime last week. The phone message hasn't changed stating that I'm missing some docs after they processed my I-864. What I would like to know, can I mail in my DS-230 stuff now using the method outlined here or should I wait until they processed my IV fee bill and generate the DS-230?

When sending the DS-230 and all the docs, do I write the NVC case number on all the documents including the ones that are original/certified?

5/24/10 : I-751 Packet sent to VSC

5/26/10 : Delivered to SAINT ALBANS VT 05479 @ 11:46am

5/27/10 : NOA1 Date (based on scanned check image)

5/28/10 : Funds withdrawn from bank account

6/04/10 : NOA1 (I-797) received, confirming above NOA1 receipt date.

7/31/10 : Biometrics letter received - Appointment date of 8/11/10!

8/11/10 : Biometrics done!

8/29/10 : GC received (sometime last week lol)! (WOW!)

Previous timeline of our Busy 2008!!

1/06 : Married my JAAN :)

1/15 : I-130 and I-129F sent to Chicago Lockbox

1/17 : Both petitions received @ Chicago

2/27 : Check cashed & I-130 petition visible on system.

2/29 : Received NOA1's! Notice Date - 2/22/08

5/01 : I-130 APPROVED!!! (But not my I-129F)

5/08 : Got Case # from NVC (received 5/7/08)

5/11 : PAID AOS Fee Online -- I-129F still pending; full speed ahead with I-130!

5/12 : Neetu emailed NVC re: DS-3032 (choice of agent)

5/13 : AOS Status now "PAID" -- AOS PRIORITY MAILED

5/16 : NVC received AOS

5/19 : DS-3032 email accepted & AOS entered in system

5/24 : IV Bill Invoiced and paid online

5/28 : IV Bill status = PAID -- DS-230 EXPRESS MAILED!

5/29 : NVC received DS-230 at 11:01 am

5/30 : DS-230 entered into system

6/03 : CASE COMPLETE - 26 DAYS AFTER NVC RECEIVED I-130

6/10 : Interview scheduled (for 7/9 originally)

6/14 : Interview letter (my copy) received.

6/16 & 6/21 : Medical

7/16 : Interview completed - APPROVED!

7/21 : Neetu picked up passport/brown packet from VFS

7/25 : POE AT EWR!!!

End of Sept: GC received!

Yes rajee (F) yours is the fastest NVC process in 26 days :star: Nobody has broken that record so far...

Fastest I-130 approval is Steve Y Jessica (F) in 29 days...

Hi Guys,

Our case was approved last May and NVC scheduled our interview on July 21. We both (My spouse and I) received our interview letter from NVC. I am just curious if we need to contact US Embassy for anything. My wife completed her medical last month.

We never received anything from US Embassy Bangladesh. I noticed some people receive package 3, package 4 (not sure what they are) from their native Embassy. Did we miss anything?

Since you both received interview letter from NVC, you guys are all set. All originals submitted to the NVC will be reached at the consulate, don't forget to collect them back. Good luck to the interview... Also, check your consulate website for further details such as SSN form (may be optional for you) etc. to be filled up... It is a good idea to talk to or email to your consulate about the next procedures by explaining your situation.

Hey guys-

I mailed in the I-864 over 2 weeks ago and now, for about a week, I have gotten the RFE message when I call the NVC. However, the DS-230 was invoiced and I paid that today (Sunday). My question is... if information is missing or incomplete on the I-864, will they still go ahead and invoice the DS-230? I'm just wondering if the RFE could be with the I-864 or if it just meant that they hadn't generated the DS-230 as per loto's sheet. Do you think they will generate the IV DS-230 fee bill even if you have an RFE with the I-864? Or because they have invoiced the IV now, am I in the clear and it was a false RFE?
