ok, so once I send the AOS package, will NVC send me DS-230 package for me to fill out?

No, AOS package is separate track.

Once your DS-3032 is accepted, they will bill you online for DS-230. Pay it and once paid, you can print out the barcode sheet from the same website and send the DS-230 package

Yes hyd, you should be done in a week  Soooooooooo, aggressive estimate is again 4 to 6 weeks in NVC. I have seen few folks who have completed within this timeframe. Mine is 41 days, which is 1 day less than 6 weeks. I haven't delayed anything except emailing DS-3032. I should have done couple of days earlier when AOS bill was generated. I just waited for AVR and it has always a lag of 1 or 2 days.

I am still in India and will be coming back to the U.S on June 1st.

Loto, Rajee and others: when is the earliest possible time for emailing DS-3032? Can it be done immediately after receiving NVC case number? Or is it necessary to wait until AOS bill has actually been generated (and how could we see if this happened)?

Thanks alot for your response, take care.

If I remember correctly, I asked my wife to email as soon as the # was available - it may have taken a couple of days to actually get it done but I'm not sure ... I think what actually happened, in terms of real-life timing, was that the AOS was generated online right around when she emailed ... You can see it in the timeline in my signature ... But since it's two separate tracks (Choice of Agent vs AOS/DS-230), I believe you can send off the email quickly :)

I have a question.

In India, Can I get the PCC without the letter from NVC or I have I have to wait for the letter. Let me know as some my relatives in India are telling me to wait for the letter to come then go and get the PCC from the passport office.

thanks

It depends on the location. For Gujarat, PCC may not be available as specified in Mumbai Consulate website. Some other locations will ask NVC interview letter and for some other places, it is very easy.

So, try with I-130 approval notice and whether print outs from NVC when you apply for PCC. If you know somebody at Police Station, that would be easy. Passport office has their own procedure, you need to complete an application and pay some Rs.300 or so to get PCC.

Loto,

My husband is filling out DS-230 forms.. having a question on Part 1, question number 20..

List below all places you have lived for at least six months reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality. Begin with your present residence.

Question 1. For only couple of months, he lived at his uncle's house at near by town.. but he doesn't want to write in this form.. is that ok ? or will that create any problem when reviewing of this DS-230 is in process ?

Question 2. He has lived at his present address for almost all his life and he currently lives there too, so should he just write his present on there ?

Thanks again..
