to pay taxes when the dems win?

I'd rather pay taxes than continue with the Republicans putting everything on the credit card.

Weren't they supposed to be the party of fiscal responsibility?

My prediction will be that McCain wins. It will be close and hard fought. I think the main reason McCain will win is because he is not all left or all right, with his issues getting some votes on each side of specturm and alot of independents voting for him because Obama is so left. It will come out with Obama that he is very left and it will be hard to convince people of that middle ground he has in need to get the votes he needs to win.

I think the racial issue will play a significant factor too, lots of people wont vote for him just because he's black. I dont think america has alot of racism by no strech of the imagination but there is enough rednecks out there to make a impact.

McCain has taken postions on all sides over the years that its hard to know really what McCain stands for. The gaffs he has made recently do quite a bit to remind people how old he really is. This race is not a given for McCain.

The country is moving idealogically to the left. Even the Republicans are, nominating a candidate like McCain without much support from the hardcore conservative elements within the party. Obama is only really far left to those who are really far right, for most, he is not that far left as you might think.

Most definetly race is still an issue in this country. Its not only "Rednecks" that have a problem with it. But doesn't stereotyping only exemplify the issue? Maybe with a black candidate we can finally confront those issues.

Dan,your a young man hopin and prayin for a dream. Some day maybe your dreams will come true. If you wish, hope and dream them to come from a politician, you my freind are a fool! To follow false promises from one you dont know and follow words that have been spoken so so many times before. Grow up and deal with reality. So so funny to watch a follower.

That's why 62% of Republicans think were going in the wrong direction. I like that McCain actually says he's going to freeze any more programs, but I'm trying to think of when a Politician has said that and has made good on that promise. Where is Ross Perot when you need him?
