Good afternoon everyone!!! This is a sunny bright day, a bit cool for this time of year but its alright. The sun is out. Husband is beginning to freak, cause he hasn't heard from the company that sent him for drug test and physical. Its going on 2 weeks. I told him to call there, so we'll see. Well hopefully i will make it to the slumber party tonight. I got the word from hubby i must finish painting the sun room NOW!!

So let me get this straight, Mohamed. You went to the SS office, they said you can't apply, you went back with documentation proving them wrong, and at that time they let you apply....is that correct?

yes we went to that office on thursday and he said i cant have my SSN cause i got married and no more fiancee visa i said WHAT!!!!!

he said i need to get EAD first then come back to apply for SSN .

THEN we went today holding papers show i can have it

Mohamed, thats what happened to my husband. He came over on k-1 visa and we got married, and we had to wait for his EAD to come in first. Then we applied for his card and he got it, only it states on the card for work authorization only. Now that he has his green card, we have to go back and have that taken off.

well that was interesting...they said he doesn't need esl classes because they have three levels and he's already passed by the third higher level. They want him to come in Wed with his resume so they can work on that and then they're setting up an interview with the company he wants to work for BUT I don't know if they understand he can't work yet. He seems to think they know but maybe they're thinking the interview process will take a while so why not get the ball rolling? I guess this particular company interviews more than just one time, sometimes you get three interviews so maybe that's the case. In any event that made one normally happy hubby even happier!:dance::dance:

They told my hubby the same thing. One of the things that made him the most nervous coming here was the language. I tried and tried to tell him that we have people that have been here for 10 yrs + that can't speak as well as he does. He just had to see it.

So I had a small surgery last week and I am BORED! I kind of want to go back to work but I am still too loopy to drive due to the drugs. My hubby took care of me last week, but now I am sitting alone. Thank God for you guys on VJ to entertain me.

I've decided to get an immigration attorney but I won't be able to do that until August when I've got enough money. There is only one in Moscow but there are several in Boise.
