Dont call her. I put my foot down and said that tampo was childish. I told her marriage is for adults and if she wants to be like that, she can stay in the Phils. I dont let my kids have temper tantrums. I'm SURE not going to let my adult wife have them.

I agree  best for OP to wait until she contact him, then he need to discourage her from having future immature tampos

Stop calling her and see if she calls you. If not then she doesnt care anyway and move on. If you are calling her so many times a day and she doesnt answer then whats the point. I know this isnt what you want to do but if you ever want to get over it you need to find out if she really cares.

i think i will not call for a few days if all does not work out i will tell the whole story
Doesn't sound like tampo. More like she has another guy on the line!

I agree 100%. What Filipina girl would just stop talking with a American Fiancee and not answer his calls if she really loves him.

Seriously tampo doesn't last for days.I think she doesnt really care about you man cause if she did she wont leave you hanging and making you literally insane just trying to get a hold of her.

i know its sucks ,but you have to face it and look at the brighter side ,at least this happened now where you guys are not yet tied together.

This obviously shows that she is not a caring and considerate person at all.

sorry dude , i know this is isn't making you feel any better but it any consolation at least it happened in the early stage of the relationship

My wife's used to last sometimes a couple-days, tops, but that was early in the relationship when I used to let it "get to me." Now that I've accepted it (translated: I ignore it) she has discovered she doesn't have the power of tamp over me anymore! Those episodes thankfully have been eliminated as our relationship has grown. We've both grown-up and learned to talk, rather then her doing tampo and me instantly being ticked-off.

I do not put up with Tampo. I told my fiance if we have a problem we need to talk.

She was told never to do it again, we can not fix any problem by acting like a

baby, and not talking about it openly.

omgosh, this thread is funny. lol i find they normally last about 45 min but on a bad day sometimes a good portion of the day. i like to make jokes and tease and that doesnt work well over IM so well but it's easier in person though cuz of body language and physical interaction.

to the original poster: you might have a lil more than a tampo on your hands. sorry.

It depends on what caused the "tampo". Normally, if I got upset over nonesense things, I can get over it easily. But if it is something that really got to me, it's an all-day silent treatment. Our house will be so silent you can drop a pin and hear it. The early stage of marriage is the hardest part for us because we both had to adjust. After a few months, everthing changed. I am now so much better and handle things maturely. I realized that being onion-skinned and doing tampo plus pouting are childish acts. Everything can be discussed and resolved...

In my relationship before Ryan, I did the same like your fiancee is doing now. When we had big misunderstanding I would not answer his calls. After we broke up it was only the time I realized that it was not "tampo" but "pride" which definitely was bad for the relationship.

I can say that the past experience and lessons learned have changed my attitude. Right now with Ryan, I do have "tampo" at times, but not the kind of what I had before which was really worse. When Ryan was here with me in person, there were a few times I made "tampo" but could not bear to see him with a sad face, it broke my heart, and I quickly reconciled with him. I love my baby so much. I can't bear to see his heart paining.

I have experienced tampo in my relationship. It normally lasts for 2 days. During that time I receive no phone calls or texts while I am at work. When I am home she will stay busy and only talk to me if absolutely necessary. She wont discuss the issue during this tampo phase and I am left to guess. This happens on average once a month. The rest of the time we have a good relationship. After a tampo episode she will eventually talk about why she was upset and we can resolve it. We have been married for 5 months and are still adjusting. My view is that if this behavior continues it will eventually ruin our relationship. It's not cute, not necessary and an impediment to a healthy relationship.

 Tampo is a unique reoccurring syndrome that severely affects 99.9% of Filipinas. This syndrome requires intense specialized treatment. Most folks call them loony bins or crazy houses. :bonk: However, it's a sanctuary for the temporarily mentally unstable. Edited by Sheriff Uling

it's really unusual for a filipina to have a long tampo usually it's just a matter of minutes.... just like me sometimes... it will only last just a few mins. If both of you would be ok make it sure that it will not happen again especially if ur married already.... it would be worst at all... being a childish person will not work out in a married life...
