Any word on how our people's friends and family are doing in Lebanon?

Thank God things have calmed down!! My husband and his family had to run from their home since there was so much shooting and fights on his street.. they'd been stuck in their home since tuesday.

I called to talk to him, when I heard the rampant shootings my heart cried. The feeling of helplesness came over me.

Now the opposition is drawing back.. and soon the ppl that fled, will be able to return home.. tho there is too much destroyed.

I just pray that calm will remain, but things in the country have definately changed, power is not with the government.. so we have to wait and see how this plays out.

Dear Nita,

I am praying for you and your loved ones as I write. God is able. He knows, He sees, and He cares, even more than we ever could.

May you be forever blessed and reunited ASAP.

I think the only thing in this horrible situation is to pray! Sadly, I do not see things getting better.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Thanks everyone...my Habebe had been hiding out in his friends home (but gunfire was coming in threw windows and walls) for 2 days until he was able to go to home. It took him 4 hours to get home because of all the Violence, shooting, gun fire (when in fact it's only a 20 minute walk) When he got to home he was just as bad he witness one of his friend get killed :crying::crying::crying:

elhamdulillah he is Safe, he been stuck at home going insane but Thank GOD he is safe!!!

I wish PEACE and REST for LEBANON soon INSHALLAH!!! IT's such a beautiful Country with amazing people, too bad some people don't have much love and respect for their own country or country men& women.

I am praying everyday that every one of our love ones are safe!!!

I can't even imagine how you must feel! My prayers are with you, please keep us updated.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'
