A federal grand jury indicted the owner of a landscaping firm who hired Quintero, accusing him of harboring an illegal Mexican immigrant.

another aider and abettor down the tubes

hope the convicted murderer gets fried.

As with this crooked employer and many like him, his business plan won't survive without illegal labor. Legal workers will not work for the wages or working conditions offered. These businesses don't want legal workers. At this point in time with rampant illegal workers infiltating the economy, a company that chooses to do everything legally will not and cannot survive.

This is where our corrupt politicians and sleazy business practices have brought us. Along with the obvious downside of an open border and refusal to enforce our laws.

This case graphically shows the consequences to this folly of creating a false economy and business plan that can only survive on illegal black market labor.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

'fried' was charles, not nb.

Oh, I didn't mean to reply to charles. I agree punishment for murder should be stiff (though I am completely against the DP); but I was focusing on the families.

maybe the family of the slain officer ... who happens to be a fellow HPD officer ... will heal by working on other illegals ...

Wow. that certainly sux, violent death always does . I hope the family finds peace.

and if the illegal (repeat offender .. and a violent on too) had stayed away after being deported the first time ... the officer might still be alive today.

the punishment stage of the trial should be interesting ...

Natty, if you'd rather focus on the punishment of the undocumented dude and how he should be fried, instead of caring about the officer's family's grief: more power to you. Says a lot about how you think.

I'd rather be compassionate of those left behind and wish them healing. But to each its own.

it must be wonderful living in a tower and believing you can read anothers mind and thoughts ...

I can't do that, but I do have the ability to see through your clothes .

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

If the US vigorously and expeditiously exercised the death penalty, the percentage of violent crimes would decline. Of course, illegal aliens probably wouldn't know that. This is such a heart-wrenching situation. My heart goes out to the family of the slain officer.
