What are you paying for gas in your region?

For the lowest grade we're paying $3.65 which is higher than Lewiston that is 30 mins from here. The gas tankers have to go threw Pullman and Moscow to get to Lewiston so it makes the locals wonder why they're paying for higher prices here then there. Three our of four people believe it's going to get above $4 a gallon before the end of the summer. I know for me being a student having a car seems pointless now. The expense it just too great.

What are you paying in your region and how is it affecting you?

We saw prices for unleaded this morning at $3.59/gallon, that's extremely high for Denver. Last year we were at about $2.50/gallon, so it went up more than a $1.

Maybe a better question is how high does the price have to get before a good chunk of us can't afford to drive?

What is the magic number?

$3.56 was what I saw yesterday.

We have maybe 2 more days of driving before I have to completely fill the tank. I dread that day.

For us, it's already started. We only drive when we have to....no unnecesary trips at all. We've resorted to taking the bus more.

Yeah I take the bus or ride a bike or walk but I can do that in the smaller towns. I hate to see what that would be like in a place like Southern Cali.

One needs to keep in mind that not only is it the cost of the fuel plus transportation but also the level of state taxation plays a huge role in the price at the pump differences from region to region..

YMMV
