James and I were waiting outside the consulate together when Mai came out waiving her hands with a pink slip. They were nice enough to hang around and comfort me for about 40 minutes while I anguished outside until Thao came out smiling with her pink slip.We will update you guys with more details soon. Thanks everyone from Melrose Plant and Dave_Thao!

06-29-09 received GC in mail

4-18-11 mailed I-751 CSC

CIS Office : California Service Center

Date Filed : 2011-04-18

NOA Date Received : 2011-06-06

Date on NOA: 2011-04-22

Had to make an Info Pass appointment because there was a delay in receiving the NOA for our I-751. Never found out the reason for the delay but they gave Thao a 1 year green card stamp in her passport and we got a the NOA 2 days later.

Haha, Dave_Thao beat me by about 10 minutes! Yes, it was a tense but wonderful day. Afterwards, we met up with Haonie and his wife and all of us went to lunch. It was nice to meet all of you.

Mai's questions, and there were only 5:

1) Can you speak English?--yes, I can speak English.

2) Where did you study English?--at university.

3) What university was that?--(gave the name of the university)

4) How many times did your fiance visit you in Vietnam?--3 times (started to give dates, CO cut her off)

5) What places did you visit with him?--the first day I and him came back my house because I want to introduce him with my family, and then next day we go to train to visit Sapa, and then we visit Halong Bay, and fly to HCM city to visit James' friends who live in here.

Then she offered to show other evidence, but he waved it off, saying no need. Today is a happy and lucky day for you. Come back on the 16th to pick up your visa.

And that's all. Kind of anti-climatic for a change. Thanks for everyone's support!

I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK! I just remembered how to find your user name. I'd already checked MP's and didn't see anything , so I was assuming the worst.

Congratulations to both couples, especially you two Dave and Thao. You've endured more than any couple should have to already.
