What do you mean "what do you expect...".

Dumb just gets dumber doesn't it

And more irrelevant.

The UK has ####### tasting food. Deal with it. Even our Fish and Chip are better.

Well as always - that's your opinion. Personally I don't really care - nor do I understand why you feel this constant need to get out the tape measure for your #######.

Actually we do export - the UK is part of the European Common Agricultural Policy. There is plenty of agriculture and farming in the UK - supermarket shelves are stocked exclusively by foreign imports - that's just idiotic.

The idea that if he hasn't personally "seen it" that it somehow doesn't exist is ridiculous, but consistent with the wonky logic BY applies to all kinds of issues.

Supermarkets. At least ours are open 24/7. Plus they are much much larger and have a greater range. Did I also mention about 1/5th the price..

I fight fire with fire. And I have not even warmed up yet.

I know, I was being facetious. Although I can't imagine we export all that much all the way over to Australia, but I could be wrong.

I do love the biscuits from the UK though. Dam they are good.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Well how can you be sure...?

Don't you know that you have to check the hold and shipping manifest of every ship leaving the UK.

As I say unless we see these things firsthand, they must not exist...

I guess I should re-evaluate my opinion on that old conundrum - "if a tree falls over in the forest, and there's noone around to hear it - does it make a noise?".

If you say so.

I would love to know what industry you work / worked in. To see where all of this infinite wisdom  comes from..

Hmm! I'm still struggling to find out exactly what food and drink we export and where, but I did find these facts interesting:

The UK industry

* The food and drink manufacturing industry is the largest manufacturing sector in the UK, with a turnover of £70bn, accounting for 15% of the total manufacturing sector.

* The industry employs some 500,000 people - 13% of the UK manufacturing workforce.

* Food and drink remains the biggest spending category. In 2005, consumer spending on food and drink was nearly £153.8bn - 20% of UK consumer expenditure.

* In 2005, there were over 6,000 new food and drink product launches in the UK, by far the largest number of any European country (twice as many as in France, for example). The UK accounts for 8% of all worldwide product launches in food and drink, punching way above its size.

Oh, and personally I'd think a smaller land area and a denser population would result in fresh food, especially meat and fish, reaching our supermarkets quicker than in a much larger country where distributors have to drive longer distances and where people can't journey out to their local shops so often.

I don't know about that. Every time I have been there the food is awful. Not Fresh at all. Stuff that comes from the EU is okay but obviously frozen. I paid 1/5th the price in Melbourne and the food is much fresher.

PS I am taking the piss out of #6

Hey I can play the irrelevant connection game too.

I dunno about your line of work - but I love to know what your favorite color and TV soap operas are... Ya know... to see where all all this infinite wisdom comes from.
