My filing date?

I (well, my stupid lawyer) filed our I-129F and I-130 on 12/6/08 and we received NOA1 for our I-129F in January and my I-130 NOA1 in March.(USCIS returned the I-130 fee to my lawyer becase they said the I-129F didn't need a fee. No, it didn't but the I-130 did... great.)

Anyway, is the fact that they were filed in two seperate months, with the I-129F filed before the I-130 (I see most people did it the other way around), is that going to hinder my process? Also, what thread should I join for my filing date?

I have read all the guides, but they don't seem to answer this specific question. :wacko::P

Anyway, I appreciate all the help! I've been reading a lot of your stories and stayed silent because I feel awkward, but I'd love to share with you from now on. :thumbs:

2002: Met and started to date, long distance the whole time!

2006: Engaged

10.2006: Contacted lawyer to begin paperwork

4.30.07: Legally Married in Ft. Myers, FL

8.25.07: Religious Ceremony in St. John's, NL

12.6.07: Paperwork filed to USCIS (after trouble w/lawyer)

1.18.08: I-129F NOA1

2.29.08: I-129F Touch

3.13.08: I-130 NOA1

3.19.08: I-130 Touch

6.30.08: I-130 Touch!

7.1.08: I-130 Touch again!

9.3.08: I-130 NOA2!!!! (And weirdly, I-129F denial. Guess I'm going CR-1 route!)

6.23.09: Package... 3? 4? I don't know, but Andrew had his interview date scheduled.

8.14.09: Interview

I'm assuming you meant 12/6/07? It sounds like it shouldn't hinder your process too badly if you've already got NOA1's for both of them.

Do you still have the lawyer? I fired my POS lawyer after we had trouble, and have found that the support and advice here is worth a lot more than anything that assclown ever gave me.

7/11/2007 - I-130 NO1A Hard Copy

8/13/2007 - Son Drayson born in Sudbury, Ontario.

9/6/2007 - I-129F NO1

10/15/2007 - Trip to Toronto for Dray's Consular Birth Abroad, SS application, and US passport

3/18/2008 - NOA2 for both I-129 and I-130!! No touches or email notifications at all!

4/2/2008 - estimated that NVC received

4/9/2008 - estimated that K-3 was sent from NVC to USEMontreal

4/16/2008 - Received hardcopy from NVC

4/16/2008 - Packet 3 Received

4/24/2008 - Packet 3 Sent to USEMontreal

7/14/2008 Interview in Montreal!!!!

7/17/2008 Visa received

7/18/2008 POE Sault Ste Marie Michigan

8/21/2008 moving day...back to Anchorage, Alaska!

4/20/2009 AOS granted, 10 year Green Card arrives, Social Security # given :)
